Possibly early to start talking about it, but figured it needed to be done at sometime.

Maybe you like to add the 5 endurance races of the Blancpain Endurance Series which will pe part of the new FIA GT World Series. All races are 3 hours long.

Blancpain Endurance Series

13-14 April: Italy, Monza
1-2 June: UK, Silverstone
29-30 June: France, Paul Ricard
27-28 July: Belgium, 24 Hours of Spa
21-22 September: Germany, Nurburgring
Added Blancpain in orange.

Added N24 in Purple.
The nurburgring sattelite view may have been taken during a race ^^

Will be quite an interesting and crucial season for endurance. Can WEC and ELMS survive?
Quote :The Racer’s Group (TRG) and Aston Martin Racing announced today the formation of a partnership to bring a factory-supported, multi-faceted Aston Martin Racing program to North America starting in 2013. The move encompasses the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón and the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge as well as plans to launch a single-make support series featuring Aston Martin Vantage GT4 race cars.

I don't remember people camping on track during the race the satellite pics were taken during the Rock Am Ring festival. You can see both main stages in the paddock area.

N24 and WEC Spa are two races that I thnik about visiting.

I'm still wondering if this race is a joke or a crazy serious thingy.
When you read the regulations, at each stop the race leader should stop 10 minutes...

48 hours : Most GT3 are already struggling to last 24 hours. Ferrari and Porsche GT2's engine lifetime is ~35 hours between two rebuild. For a technical staff 24 hours is really hard because for example race engineers do not sleep ! Mechanics have an hard life as well because of changing tyres every hour.

I doubt doing a 48 hours is such a good idea. It seems like an idiot have one day think while being drunk : "24hours are for pu**y ! Let's do 48 hours !" When you see how many cars are still on track after 24 hours, I'm wondering how many will still be there after 48 hours. 2-3? Furthermore everyone that have made a 24 hours one day would confess that in last few hours everyone wants it to finish especially Spa and the ring (Le Mans is a bit easier for men actually, but not for cars).

This race doesn't feel like a serious buisness really and I know that some teams share that feeling.
Depending on what coupe it is, i have my bet on the hyundai team to take it home unless everyone in the first 24 baby their cars around
Wondering if we gonna see those Z4 GTE in La Sarthe. Hopefully !
Top gear did a 24 hour race with jeremy clarkson im sure teams can manage 48
Sure the teams can, cars might not.
I doubt anyone can work for 48h straight.

I mean just for a normal race weekend, I know my mechanics sleep for tops 4-5 hour pr. night....

So 48h, is just a danger i think....
Well actually what you would need to make this race is probably two teams of mechanics/engineer. On for the first half and one for the other but still I think cars will not make it with one engine, one gearbox, 4 dampers and the same electronics.

What can be done is servicing the car on each stop as you have plenty of time but you can't change an engine in 10minutes, Audi did change gearbox + rear axle of the car in 5 minutes but it was with a factory LMP900.

I predict that a clio cup will win this race ^^
