Baltic Cup 2011 Season: Rules

BALTIC CUP 2011 SEASON RULES

Arriving to the server you must obey these rules at all times (also at forum).

1. Participation
1.1. To participate in Baltic Cup 2010 Season, you must be from one of the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania).

2. Qualification
2.1. Qualification is 1 hour long.
2.2. Each community's representatives must organize the qualification for their own country and inform about the upcoming qualifications date, time and server at LFSForum.net Baltic Cup section (it is also advised to do it at your community forum, if you have one).
2.3. There can be as many drivers in the qualification as you wish, but only drivers with TOP10 fastest lap times from each country's qualification gets to race in the race.
2.4. Each country must have their qualification at least 48h before the race.
2.5. After qualification, each country's representative must save replay and send it to me.
2.6. Layout will be used if needed, but only for qualifications.

3. Race
3.1. Each race will be ~45min long.
3.2. Drivers who didn't take place during the qualification can still participate in the race if there is a place left in their countries TOP10 drivers. They will be placed at the back of the grid (To do this, you will first have to show that you are able to do a lap in that combo within a 105% of WR). This is because we don't want inexperienced drivers in that certain combo to come to the race and cause any trouble to other drivers only because they didn't have practice.

4. Pit Stops
4.1. 1 mandatory pit stop during each race (free work).
4.2. Cutting exit pit lane with at least 2 wheels is disallowed during the race. It is also not advised during the qualifications.
4.3. Making a pit stop in the first lap or last lap is forbidden (Unless you have a damaged car after a crash on the same lap -> this doesn't count if there aren't any steering problems).

*Failing to obey the rule 4.2. will result in +15sec (for each time) time penalty added to your finishing time.
*Failing to obey the rule 4.3. will result in +10sec time penalty added to your finishing time.

5. Grid Sorting
5.1. TOP 10 drivers from each country are sorted by lap times.
5.2. If two or more drivers have the same time, the one who did the lap earlier will get the higher starting position.
5.3. In order to start the race on time, each driver must be in server 10 minutes before the start of the race.

6. Country Code and Name Format
6.1. Country code: Must be colored blue for EE (Estonia), red for LV (Latvia) and green for LT (Lithuania).
6.2. Name format: - F.Surname (white, also the dash).
Example:
· EE – R.Rōōts
· LV – A.Pavars
· LT – M.Runas
*Failing to do so will result a +20sec time penalty to your race finishing time if done during the race or +1sec to your qualification time if done during the qualification.

7. Chatting Rules
7.1. It is forbidden to chat during the race and not advisable to chat during the qualification (since we are all having qualifications separately, then it's not forbidden to chat during the qualification, unless someone doesn't want others to be chatting and thinks it is disturbing, so it's each countries own decision).
7.2. It is forbidden to use rude or offensive language against any driver during the race or at forum. (We will really look at this rule strongly this year because previous years there was a lot of arguing between the countries and we don't want to see any of that anymore, so if someone doesn't obey this rule he will be penalized or not be allowed to compete in several rounds.)

*Failing to do so during the race will result a +10sec time penalty (for each line) added to your race finishing time. (This means, that even a smiley or a letter counts as chatting and the penalty will be given.

Chat Open! & Chat Closed! commands will be used.

8. Short cutting
8.1. The time penalty will be added to your finishing race time.

1 time = Warning
2-5 times = +10sec
6-10 times = +15sec
11. - ... = +20sec

9. Other Penalties
9.1. All the other penalties will be dealt with after the race depending on the situation. Penalties will be given only after driver reports. Unless someone is being very ignorant about the rules and is ignoring the admin warning, then there might be given penalty even without reports.
9.2. All the penalties done in the server will be added to your race finishing time.

10. General rules
10.1. It is not advisable to attend the race if you have problems with your internet connection or if you are lagging. (In this kind of cases you might not be allowed to race if the organizer or the administrator thinks it is not safe enough.)
10.2. During the races and qualifications it is forbidden to stand or leave your car on track. (You can leave it in pit area.)
10.3. You must race with the same car in the race as you raced during the qualification.
