1 Racing Application and Rules

1.0 You are required to be in the possession of a legal S2 license.

1.1 Always make sure you drive safe and clean, treat others, as you would expect to be treated yourself. In short be Fair.

1.2 You must have had a successful application to join this league. Depending upon the number of entries received, applying does not guarantee you a place in this league. We Plan to have 1 division with 32 drivers.
As a requirement of the application, we ask that you submit a hotlap of you driving the UF Baby-R (UFR with 45% restriction) of SO5 (South City Town). This does not need to be a WR, but confirms your interest in the league.Submit this replay attachment by PM to Dru.

1.3 Round dates are posted separately in the Race & Dates post but are free to change subject to prior notice at the admin’s discretion.

1.4 Lag can seriously affect online racing experiences therefore please ensure that all un-necessary programs (like msm etc) are closed prior to an online race

1.5 no in-game chatting is allowed during pre-qualifying/qualifying/races, including lag laps.

You are only allowed to chatting after all the drivers have completed their last laps of qualifying or racing, not just when you have crossed the line. If you are seen chatting or using binds at not allowed times you will get fined.

Pre-qualifying/qualifying chatting + 1 sec each chat to your final qualifying time.
Racing chatting - 1 championship point will be taken off each chat from any points scored during that round (yes round not just that race!)

1.6 There is no car reset for this league. If you have too retire from a race you will not be allowed to rejoin the race.

1.7 If you cause an incident between yourself and one or more other drivers in which you gain a position you will be penalized if you do not ‘give’ this position back.
The only way to avoid this penalty is be giving your position back to the other party within 1 lap of the incident when a safe opportunity arises.
This may include giving up several positions if the other racer has lost more than one position as a result of the incident (excluding pit stops)

1.8 If the YELLOW Flag Message is shown then NO overtaking is allowed. If any overtaking occurs under yellows the rules stated above in 1.7 will prevail and you could become subject to a penalty.

1.9 If a BLUE Flag is shown please respect it. The Blue flag is interpreted as faster cars that are one or more laps ahead are approaching and they have the right of way.
It is not necessary to immediately give up your position on the racing line, however you must give ample opportunity for them to pass you safely.

Blue flags are valid in for race sessions and the first sector of any qualifying session (ie the first sector after you leave the pits)

Please do not spam the chat channel with blue flag messages!

1.10 When using the pit lane in both qualification and race sessions you must exit safely. Again, any drivers on the course must take care if they intend to ‘cut’ the yellow lines during a race. Any incidences will be judged on their own merits.

1.11 The car used in this championship is the restricted UFR only, named the UF Baby-R. The restriction is 45%. It is hoped that an In-sim will help control this. If anyone is found using a non-45% restricted UF Baby-R, they will be asked to change. If this has happened in a qualifying or race session you will lose all times made with this incorrect set. It is up to you to ensure that all set-up’s used are using the 45% restriction.

1.12 Your UF Baby-R must use a skin that is of your own design or that is made available to the public. We ask that you do not use one of the games ‘default’ ones.
The skin you race in must be uploaded to LFS world.
The only stipulation on skin type is that it DOES NOT contain any un-appropriate logos or images and that if the skin is deemed to be un-fit for racing you will change it immediately upon request of the admins.

1.13 Race numbers will be issued in a separate post en-titled Race numbers once the entries to the league have been confirmed. We will issue a standard race number transfer that you must use and also a logo that must appear somewhere on your car to make that car skin specific to this racing series.
The Race numbers and logos will become available shortly on a separate post that will be posted in the UF owners Club forum.

1.14 All replays of this series will or maybe used in the future to make a video to promote either the ZWR team or the UF Owners club league events etc, therefore by signing up for this league you will be giving your permission to any member of ZWR to use any of the online footage for any future promotional material. If you do not agree to this then please do not enter this league.

1.15 As footage from the league will be used in promotion material the Number plates should contain your race number only.

2 Race Format

2.1 A round will consist of one qualifying session and three race sessions at every round unless otherwise noted in the Race & Dates post.

2.2 On the day of the race the designated server will be available for free practice. The server will be password protected and this password will be issued for all competitors in good time.
The server to be used in this championship will be recorded separately in the Race & Dates post.

2.3 Qualifying will commence at the stated time in the Race & Dates post. Qualifying will consist of a single 8-minute session, and will determine the starting order for race 1.

2.4 At the end of the qualifying session there will be 3-minute break.

2.5 There will be 1 "Lag-start" for every race, which will last approx 1 minute/1 lap. This is still considered part of the racing sessions so please still drive respectfully during this time.

2.6 The specific number of laps will be defined per race per round in the separate Race & Dates post.

2.7 The tracks used in all rounds will be fully detailed in the separate Race & Dates post.
Please note any changes in the schedule will be posted to the calendar will be posted in the Race & Dates post.

2.8 After the first race there will be a 3-minute break.

2.9 The second race starting grid will be based on results from the first race. If the driver was not classified because of a DNF or DNS he will start at the back of the grid. All non-classified drivers will receive the grid positions by the race marshal after the classified starters have been announced. DNF take priority over DNS. All grid positions are at the discretion of the race marshal.

2.10 There are no mandatory pit stops in any of the races with the exception of the end of season enduro race where one pit stop will be mandatory. This one pit stop will be allowed any time excluding before the first or after the last lap is complete in the Enduro race. Any failure to complete a legal pit stop will result in a DSQ.

3 Championship Format

3.1 Drivers score points by being classified in at least 1 race.

3.2 To be classified you need to finish under your own power and complete your lap after the race winner has completed the race.

3.3 To enter the team championship you must register a team consisting of 2 drivers. If 1 driver can't make it, then the team can NOT make use of any substitute drivers.

3.4 A Full run down of available points can be seen in the Points Breakdown post.

3.5 For the team championship the amount of points the 2-team drivers collect per race event will be added together.

3.6 If after the last round the point amounts of driver(s)/team(s) are the same, we adopt the FIA system. The driver/team who was classified higher in the previous league rounds will be given a higher position then the other driver(s)/team(s).

3.7 The driver/team with the most amount of points after all the rounds have been finished, or is entitled a higher position by the rule above if the point amount was the same, will be confirmed as the league champion.

3.8 If you plan to stop racing in the league, please be so kind as to inform us so we can open the place for a fellow racer.

4 Protesting & Penalties

4.1 You must protest within 24 hours after the race ended of any incidents which you were personally involved in.

4.2 To log a protest you must post in the UF Owners Club forum or by PM provide car numbers involved, lap number, time of incident and your point of view of the accident. We also ask that you submit a reply file also. The admin will review this incident and resolve it (including any issuing of penalties) prior to the next round.

4.3 Keep your protests to major incidents.
If this system is flooded with needless 'racing incidents' then any 'serial flooder' my be subject to a penalty themselves

4.4 Any valid complaints where people have not deemed to have driven fair and in compliance with the rules will be subject to a rules penalty from the Race Admins.

4.5 All race positions and points will only be published after the conclusion of any racing protests and penalties. The decision of the race marshal and admin team will be final.
