Jack the Ripper : A New Terror

England is in the throws of a new serial Killer...5 women, Know what..we here in Canada lived with a killer of 38+ hookers.

The "PIG FARM KILLINGS" will go down as the thing that frightens "Jack the Ripper Fans"

Buck up Brits...we have Clifford Olsen and Robert Pickton."Behind Bars"

We can't execute them...but we can send tend their asses to an instution.

Name Two things Canada holds for "Seven wonders"

1) The largest Fresh water beach in the world (Wasaga Beach) 125 Miles
2)Niagra Falls...

That's 2 of the sevenths wonders..

What's our third.

It's shameful.

I read it and i get a kind of 'You call that a serial killer? Pah, thats not a serial killer' type feeling from it.

Which to be honest seems a bit off, because surely it dosen't matter how many murders take place, they're still bad.

Also, with your justice system, how do you mean an institution? What sort of term are you talking? For the guy committing all these murders in the UK, (5 so far), he'll probably be out within 20 years, easily. Free to roam the streets.

Still, at least it's not like i'm paying for this sort of scum to have 3 square meals a day, a roof over there heads, and in most prisons the option to take degrees and stuff. Oh... Wait...

I hope so, so far only 20 or so murderers have been given the "Whole life tariff" sentence.

Indeed, but this person has murdered 5 people (possibly) not 1. I'd like to hope he will get a very hefty sentence, and never see the light of day again!

The cynic in me says the post can be paraphrased as "we're better, our murderers are more efficient!".

The tiny bit of sanity in mean reads it as, "don't worry, things could be a lot worse".

Thank you Ant.... I think

The point is, in the past, hooker killings have not made much of a splash in the press. Clifford Olsen and Robert Pickton had both been looked at by police very early in thier killing spree.

With the public outcry for justice, after more than 30 women went missing from Vancouver, law enforcement all over the world has changed thier view of "Hooker Killings" and serial killers in general.

A jack the ripper copycat prowled the streets of Toronto Canada for more than a year, had the public been informed at the begining of this Murder spree, instead of 5 deaths into it, they may have caught the bugger sooner.

These recent killings in the UK have had major press coverage all over the world, a tip of the hat to the bobbies for not keeping mum about it.

Clifford Olsen didn't kill any hookers. He preyed on teens and pre-teens. I was 13, living in Burnaby. I remember seeing a car parked in a strange place at the side of the road with someone sitting behind the wheel, I decided to turn around and go back home. The kids faces were everywhere on posters.

Sad days.

And most of them are cop killers.

That's because this isn't our first, or second, or even third person to do this. It happens a lot here, and they believe that this guy could also be a guy who did it a year or so back on Norfolk and was never caught though officially no such link has been made as of yet. But this one has really caught the media's eye because of how fast the guy is moving. Some took years to rack up their numbers, he got 5 (that we know of) in a very short ammount of time.

I say he because everyone assumes any serial killer is male, but who knows, maybe it's a woman.

Would someone explain how's that different from 1 life sentence or 450+ years of prison sentences you get in US? Does the judge or jury expect you to reincarnate or wtf?

Life from memory is 20-25 years (I forget which), and you usually get the chance of parole after about half your time. So it just means you're going to die in jail.

Yes i know Clifford wasn't a hooker killer, but what he did, trading his victims graves for cash (10,000 bucks a body) will go down as the shame of Canadian law enforcment.

They had him after his second killing and let him walk....the point as i've said, this stuff needs to go public ASAP regardless of how bad it might hurt a city economy wise.

Ant

p.s. Man glad you dodged that bullet...be well my friend.

All these killers should be forced into general population of the prison system and let the other cons deal with them.

Jeffery Dalmer never made it past year one of his sentence, but again it was a case of the cops had him on kill number 3 and chose to look the other way. I don't blame the everyday flatfoot, it's a system all over the world that can only work if information is shared, and the public has the most eyes of them all.

You didn't misunderstand, I wasn't being coy or Da Vinci encoding, the point being.....if 5 people are murdered in your city...do you think the cops should HUSH up, or ask for the public to share thier info and BOLO the perp.

Lets not lose sight, I was talking about people that are under the radar. Homeless peeps and Hookers are free game for any deranged killer.

You're talking about a doctor that violated a scared trust.

I Know this is a morbid thread, trust me, if I didn't feel so strongly about certain groups being invisible, I would never have started this.

Only by talking (posting) can we even hope to make a change, the internet is a powerful tool...never in my younger days would I have thought I could disscuss such a topic from such a wide diverse group of peeps and peers.
