LFS TV Director - an addon for Live for Speed

Recommendations for creating cam files
- keep care of start nodes and end nodes of your cameras. The range between the start node and the end node defines the part of the track, where a car is visible for this camera. The TV Director will not use this camera, while the focused car is not in the range of this camera. The ranges of 2 cameras may overlap, but you should avoid gaps between these ranges.
- If a car leaves the range of one camera and enters the range of the next camera then the distance between the car and the cameras should be similar. It is better for the spectator if the distance from the camera to the car does not change much, when the switch from one camera to the next camera happens.
- Try to avoid to set start node or end node at the same position where the camera is located. There should always be some distance between start/end node and the camera. This avoids switching to or from the camera while the car is passing the camera at high speed. It is better for the spectator if the screen has as few movement as possible, when the switch from one camera to the next camera happens.
- Sometimes you may observe the "Follower could not find position" issue. To avoid this, do not place the camera exactly on the boundary of the track but some centimetres away.
- For some camera positions and angles it may happen that LFS does not draw all visible textures of a track, especially if the camera looks over far distances. This seems to be an optimisation issue of LFS. All I can recommend at the moment is to design your cam file carefully. Do not put the cameras
too high and try to prevent the cameras looking over far distances. And of course test your cam files very carefully.
