The LFS TV Director needs to be installed on the same PC where LFS is running.
Extract all files into a folder, then you should have a directory structure as shown in the following picture:
This is the main application that controls your cameras. This executable needs to be able to access the cam files and the pth files. Therefore it is important that you place the cam subfolder and the pth subfolder as shown in the picture above!
This is the GUI application that allows you to control the car focus manually or to modify the cameras files. This executable does not need to be placed in the same directory as shown in the picture above. It can be placed everywhere on your PC or even on a different PC.
This subfolder contains the camera files. These files store information about camera positions. There is one cam file for every track configuration. The released TV Director Version 0.3 contains cam files for Aston, Blackwood and Westhill.
This subfolder contains the pth files. These files store information about the track layout. There is one pth file for every track configuration. The released TV Director Version 0.3 contains pth files valid for LFS version S2Y. Keep in mind that different LFS versions may require different pth file versions. As a result the cam files become invalid too. You can download the latest version of the pth files from http://www.liveforspeed.net/?page=coderfiles.
In the views folder and its subfolders the files for the onboard cameras are stored. You can define different subfolders for every LFS version and also for every test patch (look at file cvw.ini).
TV Director copies these files into the views folder of your LFS installation, and so it is overwriting your own custom camera settings. Therefore the TV Director makes a backup of your custom camera files in a different folder and tries to retore them after you deactivate TV Director. Of course in case of a PC crash or if TV Director crashes, this is not possible and you need to restore the files manually.
