"Lag effect" even when watching replays or playing solo

Hey guys.

Well I have got LFS for about 2 weeks and I can't get enough. Altho, there is one problem that is starting to eat me alive. Whenever there is a pack of more than 3 cars, my computer starts to act like I was lagging on a server, EVEN IF I'M PLAYING SOLO WITH IA's. I was wondering if my computer's specs were the problem, but what exactly ???

Specs:
P4 1.7Ghz S478
2 x 512mb DDR400 = 1GB
WD 80GB 8MB
ATi Radeon 7000 64mb (Oh yeah I know... Don't get me started lol) (Will swap for ASUS GeForce N6200 128mb soon)

Could somebody pinpoint what is the cause of this ????

I just remarked that when it starts slowing down, my FPS's goes down...

Well, AI's EAT CPUs for breakfast, as EVERY physics calc. for every part of every car, plus the AI pathfinding etc has to be done.

Online you'll get better fps.

Try increasing minimum sleep a bit and see what happens. But you won't get much with that graphics card.

Well, I don't play solo that much but as for playing online, this problem just kill my good performance...
