FuelControl - Online is an online database which provides fuelconsuptions of every track/car combination.
LFS Racers can post their own values view a list of fule consumption per location (eg. all configs of South City) calculate fuel consumptions for a specific track with a specific car for a certain amount of laps.

So help to let the list grow and post your values.

is there any chance u can make the calculator into an offline program?

im not on the net very often, and i'd like to adjust my fuel usage on the fly without connecting to the net on my slow 56k modem

and i play alot of lan games with my brother and dad

i would really appreciate it,

thanks,
matt

well, it's a little difficult, cause the date is hosted on a webserver...
i do not think to make a offline version, sorry...

i've got not so much time...

Great tool, thanks :D

Is there a recommended minimum number of laps to drive / fuel to put in / avaerage lap time to get in to get a decent average when posting a new consumption? Sorry if I missed it on the website or some other discussion at rsc.

CrazyICE
16th August 2005, 07:41
well, i think min. 15 laps....
but i don't really know :)

OK, after more than a half year I updated the FuelControl - Online homepage!

Now it's possible to report false or strange values directly to me, just by one
click!
You can also see all posted values by a certain person. Just click the name!

So go on and test the new features! Please response if you like those
features!

Nice resource... I was wondering if I could make a suggestion for the cars with downforce - could you also add 2 columns for front and rear wing angles? The fuel consumption varies quite a lot depending on those.

CrazyICE
5th April 2006, 13:34
well, possible is everything :)
but the question is, how the consumption calculation should be done then :)
I also thought about a calculator which gives u the amount of laps to drive
(depending on an average lap time provided by the user) if the race lasts eg.
for an hour, and the correspondig amout of fuel u will need :)

I also changed the way of reporting now, cause some guys spammed a lot.
mostly the values of Ondrejko...

well, going to implement some new things...

CrazyICE
5th April 2006, 15:42
ok, i added one calculation! nwo there are two differen calculations available!

1.) as before: you define the amount of laps to drive and you'll get the
consumption!

2.) you define how long the race will last and u define your avg. lap time!
you'll get the amount of laps including the fuel consumption!

hope u like it!

because of the new patch T, i had to reset the database!
I also change something in the database, so for now, you can
ONLY post values!
I hope I'll finish today...

I'll post when it's done :)

NEW FUNCTIONS:
Now you can also view ALL tracks in the overview:
==> http://lfstools.crazyice.net/FuelControl/showoverview.php

If you move over a value the car tag is shown and the # of records in the database!
If you click this value, you'll see all posted values (which is not new, but should also be told :) )

As well as the overview, All cars and all Tracks you have an option to scale down to an overview of each circuit, would be nice to add a second option to scale to each car (So you get every track for that car)

CrazyICE

nice idea :D

The next step is to use outsim data (If possible) to automatically know what car you are sat in at that time and on which track, possibly the number of laps as well, and automatically tell you the fuel consumption....

Very difficult I know, possibly impossible, but thats what coders love isn't it????

hmmm...once again, nice idea!

but back to the "only by car list"...
i think this might be to complex to get the info you like...
cause if i want to make the car a row and for each track a column, this is
to width i think...
and if i make the tracks a row each and the car a column you have the same
table as if you show ALL track locations...

do u understand what i mean?

EDIT:
check this out:

Yeah, I see what you mean, but at the moment,

you have an overview,
all tracks all cars...

You can select tracks
removes all tracks except the selected one....

You could add cars
removes all cars except selected one....

It will be as much use as the select tracks option thats already there and do the same thing, just make it easier to read, if you are looking at the middle colum I find it easy to drift over and read the next colum without thinking......

Maybe it's just me!

CrazyICE
22nd May 2006, 13:22
so my example is ok?

btw: move your mouse over a value and u see what car it has and which track :D

Somewhat similar alternative here (http://lfs.finalgear.com/modules/fuelconsumption/).

I doubt that anyone still uses this, but we still host some fuel data on our website as well.

Hi,
I moved my webspace, so FuelControl online might be down for some days!

I'm working on it to apply the dabase's host infos etc.

Please be patient!
