So here we are, FINALLY!

Heat Race and LCQ Day!

Your timetable for today:
Heat Race 1: 18:00 UTC
Heat Race 2: 18:45 UTC (or 15 minutes after Heat Race 1, whichever comes later)
Heat Race 3: 19:30 UTC (or 15 minutes after Heat Race 2, whichever comes later)
Heat Race 4: 20:15 UTC (or 15 minutes after Heat Race 3, whichever comes later)
Last-Chance Qualifier: 21:00 UTC (or 15 minutes after Heat Race 4, whichever comes later)

Server will be on the pre-qualifying password until 17:45 UTC where I will clear the server in favour of all Heat Race 1 drivers.

Since we have more people who might fail to race their way in in the heats than our 30-car grid can support, I will split the LCQ into two races, and the winner of each will advance. I can eliminate this if I deem about 8 or 9 people unsatisfactory to race, which I reserve the right to do.

Discuss here!

Thanks Thilo, I thought I had them nicely listed but seems like a copypasta from Excel had other ideas.

EDIT: Also remember, that your presense in TS is required during your Heat Race and LCQ (if applicable). Server address: 84.45.52.142:10005 - TS3 is the server

Server now set to Heat Race 1 Password.

Keep tuned into the server on Remote and the stream for when the next heat race PW is set.

Great run, lead a few laps, but that restart killed me :( Need to practice restarts, glad I was not involved in all of those wrecks.

Less than 30% af the drivers showed up at today's quali events ... really bad respect for the race organisation imo! :really:

Should be just common sense to to notify Deko if you are not about to anticipate! Really can't understand this ignorance to people putting a lot of their free time to make these great events come true!

Thanx Deko and all u other guys in NDR for arranging these LFS Nascar events :thumb:

I think a lot people who signed up to it, signed up to is as a xmas event - and that has now passed. It happens, plus it clashed with GT3 cup. However if everybody who qualified shows up for the race theres still almost a full grid, hardly a bad show for a race on a track thats flat out and boring.

But yeah, appreciate the events etc and if theres anything I can do to help let me know :P

Shame there weren't any moar drivers tonight but oh well, of course Kings' had to be dumb enough to book their GT3 cup on the same weekend as this race even when Deko had booked the date earlier than them apparently. Typical

GT3 Schedule (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=76894) - I'm not coming to the Kings' defense, but look at the post date and next time, get your facts right before you start slagging people off, son. :really: And I know many people who still managed to do their GT3 stints and make it to the heat races on time.

Deko's schedule was posted first, but he had to reschedule due to server failures in december.
Oh, and Isaac backs this up

I rescheduled this event to this weekend because when I did so, I saw it free of any event in the race calendar (http://www.lfsforum.net/calendar.php) and also checked the actual schedule thread for gt3 and a couple other series I know might be running.

I PM'd Matt after the races today and apologized for the conflict but also acknowledged that it was neither him nor my fault that not everyone who pre-qualified showed up. At least 3 or 4 people managed to do both GT3 and the heat races or the LCQ. I even offered advancement to the LCQ if you didn't do your heat race and in every post I made today when a heat race ended announced that, and also the PM to everyone who missed the cut from the heat races.

In my opinion, it's somewhat unexcusable for those who I saw online at some point to have not attended or acknowledge Saturday's sessions. I did a /find on pretty much everyone before their assigned heat race. There were at least 3 people per race online on another server.

I'm not going to feel bitter since the grid size is mostly full, there's no need to.

The heat races had 61% non-attendance. Then of the 44 drivers required to participate in the LCQ to fill the rest of the field, only two attended, even though there was at least 20 minutes notice that you could still LCQ in.

On a brighter note: Server has been un-passworded for now; PMs with race password will be sent in the later morning UK time.

You go and read my post again and search for the word 'apparently' and you will notice that it's not me who came to the conclusion that they were in the wrong first. I just pointed it out, son. :really:

No wonder most people think you're a tard. :shy:
