In last nights ESL race, and no, it wasnt the fact that I was complete pants..........

In one corner I clipped the barrier, and the car went dead, the throttle wouldnt work, this lasted for what felt like an age, in reality it was probably only a few seconds, but the car was stranded :pillepall

Anyone else encountered anything similar?.

Maybe the sheer force or vibrations from hitting the wall had given your ignition key a good shake :)

Hmmm.....could be the pedals, just seemed wierd that way it happened, yeah they are "logi-crap" pedals, only a few months old

Probs one of the battery leads jumped after the impact. I normally fix something like that by lifted the bonnet and beating the crap out of the engine with a large hammer for a while . . . . . Works everytime . . .

The problem with Logitech pedals is, they get very dirty inside very quickly. I've had this set for a good 2 years now, but i've had to dismantle them to clean inside at least 4 times.

If you own a dog you're asking for trouble - i opened my pedals up to find a massive collection of hair, nicely embedded in the pedals grease! Anyway, i didn't know what the problem was at first, but ingame i'd put my foot down and the throttle would be spluttering and not responding properly. I took them apart carefully, cleaned the endless ammount of crap and gunk in there and from there they were fine.

So i'd suggest having a look inside incase they do need cleaning.

i've actually had this problem 2 times also!

It's only happend when i've pulled out of the pits from the garage and tapped the wall slightly.. my accell would just die and i'd just roll until i took my foot off the accellerator and pressed it again. very strange indeed. maybe it's a bug with the pedals but it's only happend when slighty tapping a wall *thinks* which makes me think that it's an LFS problem.

YES, so I am not going mental(er) , when I get chance to look at the replays I'll see what actually happened.

it happened to me two times. it was once after a crash (dont remember where, maybe blackwood) and once after going out the first corner at westhill, my car stayed stuck into the ground (either on green at westhill and either on tarmac) and surely aren't my pedals...because i use mouse+keyboard :D

Ive had this happen once, thought it was my pedals though guess not. I clipped the tyres coming out of the blackwood chincane just after first corner. I thought id run out of fuel but was first lap, lifted, pressed again and i went.
 is weird

to me everything was unsuccesful only pitting made things go normal.

did you lifted pedal before stopping?

Yup, had a race tonight where my brake pedal just stopped braking (while braking), and it didn't work ..

.. until i took my foot off the accellerator and pressed it again.

Substitute accelerator with "pedal" in the above quote.

Not the first time it's happened, but it's been so rare i've not bothered to do anything about it yet.
