How about a place like the Bonneville salt flats to test top speeds? You would have like 4 miles of plain flat land and then at the end a finish line that your top speed is measured at.

I want a flying carpet.

EDIT: Also, if its possible, could someone become a real Santa? As in, move to the North Pole and start making toys and delivering them to children on Christmas? I'd really like that. Thanks, your efforts will be appreciated.

And exactly what can you do to alter the top speed of your car, with the exception of wing angles on the cars with, well, wings. So really, you'd only drive each car on it once or twice.

It's not like we can design cars and engines and need to test things, in which case salt flats, a larger oval and a wind tunnel would be useful.

gear ratios can affect top speed.:D

If you can show my a salt flat with interesting turns, some nice elevation changes and technically challanging corner-combinations I'm all ears!

Yep, and I made a tool that saves you all the effort from that point of view. ;)

Edit: JJ72 - or you can just cheat and get outside the track in autocross and drive forever. ;)
