Hi there,

Could you guys reccomend me some setups for all 3 cars? I really have no clue and I almost always lose in a drag race/sprint. The turbo is really really hard to drive but I always see people mastering it easily.

I am using a mouse to control the car.

Which steering wheel do you reccomend from this list?

I also have a satiek cyborg evo, could I use that as a joystick? or not?

Any help appriciated.

Thank you very much.

But when I try and use these setups it says it cannot load them?

I pasted the files in my Settings folder. And I also checked the S1 option.

But in the game it says it cannot load the setup and theres a error. What can I do?

With regards to wheels, most use the Logitech Driving Force Pro, or the Logitech Momo. Although almost any wheel is better than no-wheel.

Regarding the setups from inferno, are you just saving the files, and then moving them to X:/Path/To/LFS/Data/settings? Or are you doing something else with them?

Edit: It looks like the inferno setups arent available at the moment, which maybe why you cant load them :(

Thanks alot :)

What about steering wheels on a budget? I want to spend around £15-20 :)

Thanks.

What version of LFS are you using? 0.3 or 0.5 (i.e. S1 with no fuel or tyre wear/heat or S2 with them).

On inferno you'll want S2 setups if you using 0.5, and S1 setups if you're using 0.3. But since the recent patch inferno removed the setups as most were now redundant without changes (from a WR point of view).

To be honest all I know is that I'm using the demo.

I knew that S2 is the full version so i downloaded the S1 versions!

Thanks.

You have an old version then, which is why the setups you downloaded don't work. What you want is S2:

It'll work as a demo, unless you get a license and unlock it.

If you are on a small budget, you obviously can't get a DFP or MOMO wheel, my advice is simply try to get one with force feedback...

Ideally wait until you can afford a MOMO or DFP

On the list you gave, the Logitech FormulaEX is a pretty decent wheel and fairly cheap.....

Yeah,

That is still a little too expensive. What about this wheel?

Thanks for your help so far guys, really nice forum!

Personally I would save your money a little longer and get a Force Feedback wheel, this only has vibration...

Force Feedback isn't just a better wheel, it actually helps you race...

You get to feel the car so you know when it's about to slide out as you feel the wheel tugging so you can correct it!

If you simply have to have a wheel right now, then go for it, but IMHO you should wait until you can afford a FFB wheel

I'd suggest you offer your self to slavery, wait for xmas/birthday, bitch, beg and moan until you can get a Driving Force Pro (Pro, not the non-pro) :tilt:
