Its a little low powered imho, but you'd certainly beable to "play" lfs on it.

If you can help it, get a desktop, and ferrari notebooks really arn't that good for their price IMO. You can easily pick up a dell notebook that will cost less than $1k and perform better than that. (You can always upgrade a desktop easily, notebooks are harder since they have limited space)

For what you get next to cost, not worth it. Plus the fact they are kinda ugly, and you can buy a plain Acer lappy with same specs for much less.

However, yes it would run LFS. Though on battery your life would be limited somewhat and it'll run slower then on mains.

For just over half the price i got a plain acer with same specs except mines the X600 card with pci express (apparently that makes a huge difference... 4 times faster or something!?)

Anyway, at T1 FPS drops no lower than 30 AT THE WORST usually it runs at 120 without any complaints! Hotlapping it will easily go up to 160...LFS lasts 2 hours on my battery with cpu speed and graphics turned all the way up.... not bad! :D

Even one of my housemates runs LFS on with a 64 meg graphics card at 80 - 100 FPS albiet with half texture size turned on otherwise it crashes... and it doesnt look too shabby either!

I can't get my lappy over 25fps :( Stupid Centrino, damn CPU limited. I can change everything graphics related to lowest and my FPS is capped at 25 =/
