Before you run lapper, make sure LFS is running, then when in the front screen, type /insim 29999
Then run the LFSLapper.exe file.
If that fails, then might be password issue.
Look for a default_1.ini file (in the /default diretory).
Open this with text editor (notepad will do) and it should have something like
$password = "mypass";
$configFile = "LFSLapper.lpr";
$superUsersFile = "superusers.txt";
Change the mypass (inside quote marks) to whatever password you want to use.

Follow these steps....
1 Download LFSLapper
2 Save on your pc
3 Open zip file, and you should see 4 directories (bin / doc / spec / src)
4 Make folder on your hard drive (call it something like LFS v6 012)
5 Extract the 4 directories and files from the zip file into your new directory
6 Open the bin directory on your hard drive, which is in your new folder
7 Open the default directory
8 Add your username (not nickname) into both the superuser.txt and admin.txt files
9 Open the default_1.ini file, and change password to suit
10 Start LFS
11 Choose Multiplayer option
12 Choose Start new host option
13 Choose visibility as local, give the host any name you want, and Host password should match what you used in 9
14 GO (bottom right of screen)
15 In next screen (track/car choice, etc), type /Insim 29999
16 Now go into your LFSLapper \bin directory (as per Item 6)
17 Click/double click LFSLapper.exe to run program
I've probably oversimplified it for you, but it is to make sure you stay out of the \defaultfiles directory.

Another thought....
..look in your \bin folder for a file called LFSServers.cfg
Open it up in a text editor (notepad will do). Should look like
# Configuration of LFSServer to be Managed with LFSLapper
# One line per server
# Remote port is the port used to manage LFSLapper remotely, future extension
# One remote port per LFSLapper on one machine, autoStart is optionnal
#Unique ID|GroupId|Ip|Port|WorkDir|IniFile|autowork
timeOutScript=2000;
remotePort=3001;
DEF1|gr1|127.0.0.1|29999|./default|default_1.ini|autowork
The last line is most important. That way should work on your pc.
The 127.0.0.1 is your (home) pc
299999 is for starting lapper when you type /insim 299999 when you are in LFS
default is directory within lfslapper
default_1.ini is where your password is hiding
autowork tells lapper to go do it (you can try autostart if still having problems).
If still having problems, then I suggest you download fresh version of lfslapper and re-install.
