Having spent some time browsing the forum, I think I see a parallel to Godwin's law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law):

As a discussion on the LFS forum grows longer, the probability of a comparison between LFS and rFactor approaches one.

Just an observation. ;)

And fanboy passion on both sides is approaching critical mass.

The amount of posts being useless/spam in this thread is 100%. (My post included.)

It will be true also if you replace rFactor with any other today's sim, but that is how us humans work ;)

It is amazing also that getting single person to do what you like is not very easy, but to get group of ppl to do what you like is rather easy, however this has nothing to do with sims, just politics :D

I thought that you get a "discussion" which never leads to anything ;)

My proposal of Godwin's customoized law:
As any disussion grows longer, the amount of comparison raises.

It's really that simple. Comparisons are just the way humans communicate and express their ideas. Nothing interesting about that. Wondering about the use of comparisons in communication is like wondering why people just can't stop breathing.
I just had to use this comparison. :D

A corollary, even.

LFS differs to almost all forums that have ever existed on the internet before it and is not prone to conventional "laws" of internet forums.

For evidence I cite the fact that it is possible for 99.95% of posts on this forum to go beyond the first page before mentioning World War 2.

Edit: I just read the first paragraph of Godwin's law on Wikkipedia after writing my post, which just goes to strengthen my point ! :) ...
