View Full Version : Two more views needed

Nowadays there are several good wheels with buttons that allow eight views.
LFS uses only two however.
It would be cool and helpful for clean driving if the views would be extended by a front-left and front-right view.
And an easy thing to do, too.

Between the look left, right and back view seems to cover all round the car, so would ask y do we need it?
But i agree would be useful. But i would think 4 views, so then would be able to look (using compass directions for ease of explination)
North (forwards)
South (back)
East
West
NE
NW
SE
SW
Although only time i look left or right is start, or to see if i can pull bak in front of someone after passing them.

Do you use "smoothening" with the left/right view? When you press quickly the button you can make a quick 45 degree look. Altough it's very quick view. But yes, would be a nice feature to give user to set the degrees of the look left/right or give separate 45 degree views.
Though I think the 90 degree look is much more usable than the usual 45 degree in some sims. Optimal would be something between 80-70, where you could see to your side but also a little to the angle you're going.

Or u have the money for a TRACKIR.
Iīve bought version 4 a few weeks ago and now I donīt want to drive without anymore ;)
Move head = move ingame view, roxX :)
Hopefully soon LFS will support 6 DOF.

It does if you have the 6 DOF addon, I'm sure.
Well that's what I've got mine set to.
On topic, I would like to see a bonnet and roof view, even if they are a little arcade. Great for replays. That said the behind view is very arcade anyway.
