Lost colour schemes since the patch?

Whenever i select a car i havent raced since i installed the patch, it says cannot load colours or skin. and i noticed under the "new colours" button that none of the default colour schemes are there now, i dont race them but I couldnt figure out why i lost all those default LFS colours?

you probably somehow did something to your settings folder when installing the new patch
how did you install the patch?

used windows to extract it to lfs s2 folder?

all you have to do is just put it in the main folder of LFS

but... somehow your settings folder .. something happened to it
or
.. this happened to me with the netkar pro demo.. if you put a shortcut on your desktop, what happened to me on netkar is i .. copied the actual launch program, rather than making a shortcut.. so that could be a problem too

i use a short cut in the start menu to lfs.exe that still works ok :shrug: im a bit baffled by this one.

i can make my own "new colours" fine and it works, just i dont have any bog standard races colours

oh i think i know what i did...

i renamed my old settings folder to BACKUP (so i didnt delete it) and then put a new settings folder in there so i started from fresh on my setups, i guess the colours went with it.

will try to fix this myself i know what i did. sorry about this stupidity :(

one for somebodys FAQ....

Q) The game wont load any of the default colours and only lets me make new ones.

A) Did you delete/rename/move your settings folder as this contains the .col files along with .set up files.
