Blackwood is the most even track of the season balancingwise. FXR should be able to gain back on the ground it's lost in the first 6 races there. :)

Excellent choice of times at the races too. Nice and balanced at the big one, one 6h FXR race and one XRR/FZR one and a nice mix of 3h ones. And WE1 :D :thumb:

I don't get it why:
Round 7 - 2 April: 12 Hours of Blackwood Grand Prix (BL1) - Clear Day
???
One of the most boring tracks, the shortest track of the season probably, and the longest race time... not a good idea. It's just a torture on that small track, you should pick one of the longest tracks for 12h.

What road signs are you talking about?

nah great picking, indeed the shortest out there.
Small track, well in the twisty bit but still room enough to overtake.
This is a challenge not a torture.

The GTAL bit on the logo is the same font as on German road signs [apparently] - Ellis was tinkering with other country's aswell, hence my comment.

ah yeah I thought it's this league logo, road sign (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_sign) is quite confusing to use for that
J@tko, alright thx :)

Well, I played it many years before becoming S2 licensed so I quite had enough of it, overtaking... hmm like 2 straights where you can safely overtake if you have the speed, other 2 places will slow you down both and you need a big speed difference or the other racer mistake

btw StableX, your 1st sentence is actually perfect :D
on the other side, Timo probably wanted to say "I like sheeps.", but he said "I as a sheep."
and this is not offtopic message at all, everythings GTAL related.

To clear some things up:

- I did not insist on a change, or at least, I don't remember insisting on a change... :schwitz:

- If you did like the old logo deko, you need not have reminded me to make a logo every day for 1001 days

- The font used for the '2010' bit of the logo is an imitation of DIN 1451 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIN_1451). Imitation because the real DIN 1451 is a commercial font and I have no intention of manufacturing german road signs, so I do not need to buy it.

- The font used for the 'Grand Touring Amateur League' is a totally unrelated font that does not feature on any road signs of any country.

I ve just noticed...the next race (KY3) is already 5th March? only two weeks break and then the last one is 5 weeks after...isnt it a bit odd? or is it because of some other events being held?

boothy
17th February 2011, 20:07
Probably because the next MoE race is held on the 12th, and we did this track as a test race before the season started - then the Kyoto 250 is being held at the end of March http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=73051
