Hello there,

We at Tiger Express Motorsports decided to make an event celebrating the first anniversary of our LFS activities. It was indeed on the Friday, August, 7th 2009 that for the first time two TEM cars, driven by Yann Laprevotte and Chris Wilkinson, got on the grid of their first official event, the Round 1 of the Formula Junior league. This evening of racing went rather well since Yann took this day the first official podium of the squad after finishing 3rd of the feature race.

Even if the squad was at first only deem to take part in the Formula Junior league, Yann decided to carry on with the venture, satisfacted by the second place earned by the team for its first ever league. He and the 31 years old Frenchman Lims Chebbi managed after a few weeks to turn Tiger Express into a sort of international league alliance, where they could race with friends of them from other teams in various leagues, without being an official team LFS World wise. But the things clearly turned to be even better as some drivers of the alliance got along well together and decided to make Tiger Express an official team on the 19th February 2010.

Since then Tiger Express Motorsports became a very stable 8 members strong team, involved in most of LFS' international leagues, and getting some very promising results, such as a 2nd place in the 4 Hours of Kyoto GP Long counting for 2010 IGTC season.

What?: a 2 Hours race.
Where?: at Aston Historic(as4)
With what cars?: GTRs(FZR with 23 kg, XRR, FXR) and LRFs(FZ5, LX6, RAC, no ballast/intake restriction for any car)
When?: on the 26th August 2010, at 18:30 UTC.

Want more precisions? Mkay then:

The event will start with a 30 minutes qualifying at 17:45 UTC. Both classes will be running into two different servers. Shift+P/S allowed.
There is a mandatory pitstop in the race, between the 15 minutes and the 1h45 minutes mark, where you do have to change all 4 tyres.
Drivers changes are allowed but not mandatory. If you are changing drivers, the incoming driver should be in server for no more than approximately the one lap prior to the swap, and the outgoing driver should leave within approximately one lap.
The start of the race is a standing start.
There are no skin requirements but we'd appreciate if you are not going to run with a default skin, and put your race number on the doors, although this isn't mandatory. You may post your high-res skins on this thread.
If you are willing to submit a protest on an incidents, please do so in this thread, providing the lap when the incident occured, the timecode of the replay, the numbers of the cars involved and a brief description of the incident.
The name format will be XX F.Lastname. GTRs' numbers are in blue, LRFs' number in green. No colour restrictions for the names.

Obviously we will do our best to make this possible, but we're not 100% sure on that yet. I will do my best to sort that stuff up ASAP, hopefully I'll be able to make an official announcement in the next 24 hours because I don't like to make the reserve people play the waiting game:)

Anyway... If we make it two servers wide, we will held both GTR and LRF quali in the same time obviously. The people finishing quali in uneven positions would go on server 1, theose who finish in even positions go in server 2.

Allright, we finally made the decision to held the race on two servers. Thanks to New Dimension Racing for providing the tracker and The Danish Racing Team for providing the second server!

Because of this move we decided to held qualifying in the same time in the two different servers. Both sessions will be held at 17:45 UTC. GTRs in one servers, LRFs in the others. Uneven positions will go in server 1, even positions will go on server 2 so both servers will be equally matched, with the same amount of GTRs and LRFs. The overall classification will be given with the cumulated results of both servers, which can be checked at every moment on the tracker during the race(link TBA).

PMs will be given out tomorrow with the server names, the passwords, and the final instructions. Signs-up will be closed tomorrow at 18:45 UTC.

I'm gonna update the OP right now.

In other news, I just realised that the amazing amount of 32 teams signed-up in GTR. This means that if all teams show up, the track will be full in qualyfing:Looking_a

Therefore, if any other GTR team sign-up(still 25 hours till the sign-up deadline) it won't be allowed to take part to the qualifying session and will have to start from the back of the grid, unless another team fail to show up of course.

We've heard that #13 should probably miss quali, which means one quali slot left in theory:thumbsup:

Still, it seems like the tracker calculates the overall time using the session time which doesn't work across multiple servers since the start time is random - although it makes sense for a single server.

The race was really interesting to follow. Good race Conquest and grats to Nfinity for the LRF win ;).

Congrats to the winners. Shame we where forced to race on different servers at Nfinity, could've been quite a nice fight. Checked the tracker on a second screen, the lead changed 2 or 3 times and most of the race we where about 1-4s apart. Thanks to all for making this event so enjoyable. When I announced the event I didn't expect the things to be that big in the end. Finally we had 42 teams starting the race, 30 in GTR and 12 in LRF. If I'm not wrong, this should be the biggest LFS one-off endurance event of the year in terms of teams starting the race, 16 hours race excepted. I'm only slightly disappointed by the small amount of LRF teams taking part, but you can't really help it, it's always been one of the less popular class of cars in LFS. Too bad, because it's great fun, and I wouldn't have minded to have a go with one of those beauties last night.

Even better, everyone had a really sweet behaviour. To be honest I and the other marshalls just sat during the 2 hours talking together, with no incidents to be checked during the whole race, which was quite unexpected. I can't recall of any controversial incident, except the Seb-TDRT one. Anyway it was great to see that even it had a lot of consequenses on TDRT's race, both drivers got along after the race and just discussed friendly about it. Sure there was some miscommunication between GTRs and LRFs once in a while. But you can't really help that either, since it always happen in multiclass racing, but I'm sure there was no hard feelings after the race.

Anyway, this was a very close race. The top 3 of the GTR class finished in 7 seconds, with spdo Racing #1 winning in front of Conquest Racing and teammates spdo Racing #2. The LRF class saw many lead changes during the races, and was finally taken by nFinity eSports, 3 seconds behind Concept Rundfunker. Xcite Racing comes in 3rd. Special Mention to Concept's Kevin Leu who was the only non-LX6 driver to be in the pace in LRF tonight. The rest of the provisional standings are attached.

It was a real pleasure to see this event running so smoothly, especially since the preparation period was quite stressful, especially with that server issue 1 hour before the event, which leaded into an unforseen server swap. Anyway I'd like to thanks a few people for their kind help:

Was a fun race for me !
It was like a preparation for LFSES next season :P
I've just make 3 chronometred lap at Q because dinner time :x
Race start was correct, but i can't avoid K.Raudsepp when he lost control at first turn :shrug:
After tha, I had left the track for the grass 3 times, but the car was able to race again :P
And i make a new personal record : drive more than 1h with same tyres and without refuelling in endurance : 1h15 from the beginning of the race to my pit :nod: I never do better at LFSES Season 4 :)
After the pit, i've make some hotlapping, because i was on 2.25 minutes per lap, and i put it down to 2.23 :shy:
I had no problem until 25 minutes to the end, there has been a thunderstorm with beautifules flash *_*
At each flash, computer lose a bit the wifi connection, i was speaking and swearing to my latency bar to stay correctly :x it make me very angry :Looking_a
And at 2 minutes until the end, I was about to take a tour to the LRF #42.
I got behind him on the left, he went on the right... I was thinking he let me pass him bcz the blue flag, i will pass him when suddenly, he return on the right missing causin an accident with me... I threw my car out of turn, but with the strength the car make a beautiful 2 wheels failing to finish on the roof thanks to a oversteer...
After the race, I said to him that he was dangerous, I was writted that he explains to me why he did that when he said "no comment" and disconnected :grumpy:

Rather uneventful for me, but fun to drive the boat again.

Qualified dead last, over half a second behind the next guy.
The first few laps I thought I could hold on to the faster guys ahead, but they gradually pulled away. Stopped after 1hr for tyres/fuel, then had to stop again at about 1hr30 for a p!ss...this put me one lap behind the guy ahead, so I saw no point in continuing.
