Follow leader camera mode

Sometimes I just like to spectate live LFS races or watch replays.

But there is no camera mode that automatically tracks the leading car. And so when the lead changes you need to press TAB to watch the new leading car.

Since pressing TAB changes to the next car, could there be another "slot" that represents the leading car. So to watch the leading car all you would have to do is tab to the leading car slot and you could then watch the leader from any camera view (eg cockpit, externel etc)

Pressing shift tab takes you to the next car ahead, so you wouldn't have to tab through the whole field to get the lead, if you didn't know that.

..still dont get what keeps the tab from not working.. it stopped working for me again today; couldnt do anything at all shift-tab nor tab did a thing

yeah i've had the same problem xcnuse. sometimes tab works other times it doesnt.

for me tab or shift-tab always works, however, i also find it a nice feature to be able to focus on the leader, maybe even change camera view to allow best view of the "action". i.e. if there's a close battle for 1st place, put the camera in cockpit view of the 2nd car, etc. basicaly, put the camea and view according to where the important action is. if 1st place is leading by far, and there's a tight battle for 2nd, put the camera there, etc.

so: "best action" camera, "leader" camera, "costom" camera (custom is manually using tab as we do now). would be a great feature. hey, it can even replace FTV as a screensaver ;)

That's a really good idea, and it doesn't seem to difficult to do code-wise.
