Probably been asked but how about adding stock cars supper-modified sprints midgets and bomber class cars and dirt tracks. Hell man youd make more from the US fans thats our way of life :thumb: AND for pitty sake ADD Indianapolis :smileypul ...

And has any one asked or fixed a sim to make the AI cars run the last lap you ran as a ghost?

Considering this is a European based sim, that will be the very last thing added to LFS, if ever

How about being very sarcastic and adding a Peel P50...

They have KY1,soon rockingham oval, why not have a proper car (besides FO8) for the ovals.

No point in having a proper car when there isn't a proper oval.

Go and play Rfactor, LFS is not for you

I don't really know about the stockcars, but if LFS starts adding real-life tracks I wouldn't mind seeing Lime Rock, Road America and a bunch of other nice tracks added. That said, I don't want to focus on ovals, although I feel for that part of the community, one or two proper ovals and a car to go along with it would be a nice addition, even if those wouldn't be massively used by me.

Agreed, but in all honesty fixing what is wrong should take precedence over any additional content.
If what we do have is perfected so that it is more enjoyable, maybe it would cut down on these mindless "where's my new shite" threads.......

yea i no what sim they set it up on but hey they did a killer job y not add the rest of the race circuit LMAO look how well its work for banks merging :D is a way to expand yr market :thumb: The super speedways would be fun ;;

but yea fix any prob now but hey other cars and tracks would pull more ppl again if the game is dieing off any. Now would like street tires for the XFR for doing rally tracks LOL love the sound and look of that car :auto:

I try. It does annoy me quite a bit to see posts like: "y u b so gd 2day" I mean we have 26 letters and full words for a reason, maybe I just need to get with the times?

Was just an idea to add more car options and a few tracks and other race car types like the stock car...

Just remember all If it wasnt 4
Ransom Eli Olds for building the 1st gas power car and Frank G. Clark for building the body..We would still be racing horses :)

this idea of stock cars = pathetic.

It's not pathetic. It's a good suggestion that would add diversity and new interest to the sim. Whether you personally find these ideas exciting is irrelevant, there will be people that do and that's all that matters. No doubt there are things you'd like that others wouldn't, would you like their opinion to rule in those cases?

I'm impartial to the idea of adding stock cars. I'm quite content oval racing with the existing cars. The only thing I would like to see changed is to be able to adjust the suspension on both the left and right sides of the car seperately. I know you can change camber and tire pressure independently, but there's been occassions when I've wanted different tire compounds on the outside than on the inside, stiffer springs, etc.

And while we're on the subject, the AI in LFS don't make for very interesting oval racing. They try to avoid being side by side with another car unless there's a chance they can overtake the guy next to them. The instant they realise there isn't a chance to overtake, they drop back and get into line. This is good practice on any other track, but in oval racing, you forever see cars going into corners two wide, or three wide, all battling to overtake one another.

Yea its a shame the AI cant be controlled a bit better but o well i agree on more settings for springs shocks and other tweaks..I guess im to used to dirt tracks and stock cars :schwitz: Wish EA would put out a NEW nascar game :(

Why? Popular opinion is they were crappy anyway. Wouldn't it be better to let someone else have a shot at making something better?

See if you can buy rFactor. That's got quite a good NASCAR series, or more accurately... A blatantly obvious NASCAR imitator called NSCR... But it's pretty much the same racing. And it's also ultra realistic physics much like what you'll be used to from LFS. In fact, rFactors physics is good enough that half the Formula One grid are using it to give their drivers on-track practice while off the track.

Proof please? I'd be interesting in learning more about this 'fact'.

"With the signing of Force India we are delighted to announce that half of the current F1 grid are now rFactor Pro users." (http://www.rfactor-pro.com/)

It's the same physics engine in rFactor Pro as in retail rFactor, before you ask. I know what I said isn't 100% true now. :P

Hopefully I won't be choked in my sleep for suggesting someone buys a rival product to LFS. :)

I reckon we should have a stock car but i don't really think we need more ovals...
I mean there's KY1 and Rockingham coming soon, but i find it more entertaining to drive a stock car on a road course.

Amen to your word brother. :tilt:

I'd love to see a self made up stockcar by the great Eric.

Then I deffinately recommend it to you. I found rFactor's NSCR series to be perfect when I felt like a race but was too tired to keep my eyes open.

Real ovals and appropriate cars would be cool, with the same good physics engine for american, european and japanese racers. And would attend a huge market of online gamers from the USA.

For what you spend on a server in LFS and your hosting, you can go iRacing.

Or you can mow your neighbors lawn every other week :P

arrrr! ahem

though i haven't read most of the posts..

the first thing id want is a stock car added to lfs, if not for the already ky oval, but for the rockingham oval which is on it's way.

but the fact that stock cars have already been suggested in numoures posts, from this post you deserve a flame suit for repeating that trend, but no... i won't give one as im all for a stock car..

but as already said, in the previous posts, its ether wait for a stock car which might be this year the next or never, or play a different sim which are based on them if you want them now :)

end of post tbh / :)
