It's there for sure. There's just quite a lot of banners and they're selected totally random. That does mean that purely by chance some banners can be chosen more than others in what seems a humanly reasonable period of time within one measures. But that's random for ya :) And that you don't see it often doesn't mean others don't either :)

I guess I will announce the league without the section and see how many people are truly interested.

BUT, if we get quite a few sign ups within a week. I will submit another request. While it is true that a section will not save a league. I-SCAR is not a normal league. There will be (if there's interest) a need for multiple threads that would discuss the special rules, mod distribution, tires (completely new car, completely new tires), tracks, setups and even race strategies as the braking points for this car actually changes due to such a high amount of tire wear. (Stock cars are heavy).

In other words, this is a new territory for most of the LFS community and good hard discussions will be needed before and during the league.

However, I do understand your position and concern on interests. So, I'll announce the league and see how many sign ups will follow. But if this league were to take off, a section is important as it keeps things organized and simple...especially since this is a modded league.

I've given it a day and we've gotten quite a few sign ups already. Even if no more people sign up we will still go forward with this league.

So, I'll submit my request again.

I dont mean to be a pain, but this isn't a normal league. Due to it's modded status it is a nightmare for us organizers to try and set it up properly mainly cause we have to do so many things manually that LFS previously did automatically (such as client sync and skins).

The special rules for oval leagues are also an additional burden (and needs additional discussions).

The admins of I-SCAR have did their best to make sure that signed ups and potential competitors can transition between the normal LFS and modded LFS clients smoothly. Currently there's no hitch, but as time goes by, we will need to be able to sync skins, support threads (for any possible problems with the modded client) and discussions (setups, strategy) easily.

I think the relatively large amount of initial sign ups, as well as the lengths that the organizers went through to test before the annoucement, goes to show that we are very serious and dedicated to see this thing through.

So, victor, may be please have a section?

Well, that looks more like a (empty) team website to be brutally honest. Where's the league information?
In fact, when I visit the site with a mindset of someone new, there's not even a mention of LFS for example.
Carefully read my first post in this thread again (I'm sure you've already read it at least once) and then think about your league again.

I appreciate the motivation of people but you should understand that running a league isn't something you can setup and do easily. It requires a lot of time and effort.
I know from experience that leagues that are not setup properly _will_ end prematurely. Giving them a forum section will as such only lead to cluttering the forum.

A forum section here doesn't make a good league. I don't know how many times I have to say that.

Hello,

Banners should not be bigger than 500 * 100 pixels. They can contain animations but no flashy distracting stuff.
When you post it, post the url it links to along with it so I can have a look before putting it online.

As we are planning a new league, we would like to have re-activated Unity racing series (http://www.lfsforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=133), but renamed it to 7Karat Racing Events. (It´s me who are moderator anyway)
Then the new league could be a subforum thereunder, called Masters Monthly Championship and if you could also put the League called Damage Control League (http://www.lfsforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=274) in there too (which is already in the active league section. Then things will be all nicely collected and fine.

Just keep the first post informative and keep it updated with the latest information and list all the attendees there like the other threads. That seemed to work well? The rest of the thread can be used for discussion. And I think it'll get more attention if it's floating up and down in the main section than if you'd move it to another one.

Right so clearly mine wasn't up to standard, I have no idea how to make it up to standard. The league is fully set (rules/schedule/server/website) which is what was requested, and still nothing. I've even got >10 people to sign up in the first few days.

Tiger Express Events is currently running, and is holding 2 leagues which both had their opening season in 2009, and are both going to have two seasons in 2010. One of them(BnJ Revival Cup) even has opened their signs-up 1 week ago. The Fun Racing League has had 7-8 seasons in 2009 and 2010, has announced a special event and another season running on May-June. Both of them have signs-up open.
Tiger Express Events and Fun Racing League both have their own (currently up and running) website.
I fail to see what I did wrong there.

I don't understand either. I have something set up on our site exactly like how NDR does it (since we both use Joomla) for this league, signups are open, though we've never had any previous leagues which is really the only difference between us and TEM's stuff.

I don't know if it's that you are too tired of doing this all and you don't want to read a few last posts or if it's something different. No offense, but I just can't understand why the requests weren't even answered :/.

Year or years ago I requested for some league section and you clearly told me that the league must be already running as the rules in 1st post say, but I can't see that for example "Apex Cup" wasn't already running and you still confirmed it :/ (sorry, Bont). Yes, it's pretty much sure it won't be a fail, but still and also that "GT3 Cup" wasn't even running and it was accepted as well.

So, I don't know why wasn't the Bump and Jump Revival Cup accepted. The organiser also did most of job on organising the same thing in last year and it is already running, people are signed up and website works as well. :( Well, he (Greybull [CHA]) requested for whole events organisation section (Tiger Express Events), so if this is the problem, just say it, please.

And then the Fun Racing League which is already running for a looooong time and has the website as well.

Anyway, if you had the patience to read this all, thank you and here I request again.

Please move it into Tiger Express Events, rename it to "Bump and Jump Revival Cup" and create "Fall 09" section in it and move all the threads into it, except threads starting with "S10" (which means season 2010) and also "BnJ Revival Cup - Hall Of Fame", "BnJ Revival Cup - Website" and "Division B - Ballast system".
