Hello :)
I feel like I owe you guys some explanations after that thread.. ( http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=6679 ) (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=6679)
Yes, I wasn't using LFS like it should be used, and though I am here registered since midle 2005, I wasn't having a bad behaviour towards the developers since that time.
I felt in the temptation to using a crack so I could see what I was about to be able to play online, when I bought LFS. I see your point, this is like dis-respecting the developers, they do DESERVE to be paid for their work, but please understand me, I would not like to buy something I wouldn't play after.. So I played, liked it, and now that I had some spare money, bought my S2 License :)
I just hope this post doesn't bring more fuss, or get some ppl angry, I licensed my copy of LFS over the same username, as I do believe ppl will understand my point (thought it wasn't the correct, I know), and forgive me for making a mistake.
See you online :thumb:
btw: sry for my .. kinda rusty english

You haven't solved your sins yet. As a penalty we'll enforce you to play LFS for the next two weeks 24 hours in a day.
Altough tomorrow you can take a little break while you install the new patch.

Nice story !
The good thing is that what with the lfs you know to who you give your money ! For example I also often buy my audio cds at the show because it is more money for the band !

I didn't know about your history, but good for you that you have bettered your ways and gave support and recognition to the devs by buying an S2 license. It's worth every penny of it, it certainly was the best money ever spent on a game for me.
Welcome back, have fun and see you on the track :) :thumb:

Hi,
1st congratulation to you realize that DEVs really deserve their money for all their great work and support they gave us.
Maybe its time for SCAVIER again to split LFS into 2 packages:scratchch .
1) DEMO part
2) updated/additional part (full version) in secured section on WEB where you can have access only after you payed for the LFS.

A good idea for protection, though I am not very sure it will only do good to LFS, you know there are many people who decided to buy it only after they had played the cracked full version.:schwitz:

Welcome - it's a great community and a great sim that only really shows all it's strengths online against real opponents anyway.:drink:
The response here to anyone mentioning the dreaded 'c' work is understadable considering how supportive of LFS most people are, even if some of the comments regarding not using illegal software when it's a small developer rather than Micro$oft is a little hypocritical.
How many people are producing nice 3D renders in software well past it's trial period?

Maybe you could write a 100 word essay on the evils of cracking and the respect you get by being a paid up member, all is forgiven. Drop by NASSA anytime....and for those that have cracked in the past and think they'd never be forgiven, well take heart, LFS People are some of the most forgiving around.

That's the exact same thing for me. Children of Bodom, and In Flames are 2 of my top 3 favorite bands, who I never would have found without P2P programs. I now own all but 1 of the cds from both bands (they're so damn hard to find!) and I've seen both bands live. (Seen Children Of Bodom live 3 times even!)
Also, in a chain effect, at the shows that I saw those bands, I discovered more bands that I liked who had great stage performances: As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Iced Earth, Trivium, Amon Amarth. :)

But a big problem there is, Hong Kong is selected as a COUNTRY, this is a fundamental mistake,:pillepall I hope devs could notice it and have it changed.:smileypul

You've paid for the game, and that's as much as anyone could ask.
As for whether the protection system in place is in any way fair for a multiplayer game yet doesnt support LAN play on a single copy, dont get me started... ;)
I've not had a LAN party since getting LFS, but when I do I will make LFS work - if that means hacking it, so be it. I paid for a multiplayer game.

To be a Chinese I think i should say somethink.
All the people play LFS because we love this game, this amazing game. Of course we like it as all people here.
But for some reason, we decide to play crack. Why? Because we r not
that rich then u think, our english is not that good then u think, we dont
have that much credit card then u think........................happy with that
reason????
If they make a Chinese language pack, they will be a millionaire soon.
ps. I m going to buy a full licence. So c u guys at sever.

I just know mainland china is full of crackers.
*you from chinaspeed.org?
I cannot bring myself to believe that you are actually a Chinese, as you have shown so little understanding of the current status of China. It is universally known that mainland China's economy is far behind that of HK, let alone most players are still students. Chinese children are mostly under more strict rules from their parents, thus it is even more unlikely they could spend 24GBP for a game. And needless to say it is quite hard for a student to get a credit card either.
As to the matter of chinaspeed, I come from that forum and I know we are working on this licence issue. We love this game and have been trying to get every member to buy a licence. Actually there wouldnt have been so many licenced racers in mainland China if it werent for our efforts IMHO. It has been hard to spread LFS for many reasons, and even more difficult to get people to buy their licences, cracking really isnt our choice. Please try to understand. We are still a developing country and it is quite impossible to ban this cracking thing, at least that's what I think.
Sorry for my poor English:)
