Well ive been mess'n around with LFS since it came out for DL on Fileplanet but i only just got a DFP for Xmas and have been play'n GT Legends since but i decided to give LFS a shot today ... well yesterday ... havent been to sleep yet lol ....
I started out with my DFP set to 900 deg but that was just WAY too much for me .... and see'ns max i used in GTL was 540 deg and im slow in GTL lol .... so i ended up lowering to 270 deg when i did this
I basicly want some comments on how i am do'n and maby some tips on what i did wrong for technicly my 1st day with a wheel in this game .... its 7 laps and i shaved about 1-2 seconds on each lap ... as you can see i lost it in the corners a few times ..... much less than i do in GTL ... i play full real no aids in both games ....
i also included my simple skin just so you dont see a plain white car

Hi There,
Looks ok to me, a little tentative, but a nice start, couple of tips.
1) In the 1st chicane get closer to the kerb on the right hand turn
2) Brake points seem too early, try braking later
3) Don't ride up the kerbs so much
4) Use more of the track, you arent using enough of the track, so on a right hand turn stick more to the left hand side of the track
5) Last turn use ALL of the runoff area to the right hand side
6) The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car ;)
And above all practice, practice, practice.

A good thing to do is visiting lfsworld.net and download there some WR replay so see how the pros are doing. The WR is somewhere around 1:21 AFAIK. Also visit setupfield.teaminferno.hu and get there some good setup for your car.
You can be good if you keep practising. Especially you need to work on the first couple of curves. You are losing about 3 secs there.
Im not a WR racer, but I have been driving XRT a lot when I was a demo racer, so I have some skills with it....

Also visit setupfield.teaminferno.hu and get there some good setup for your car.In my experience, the setups there are for breaking WRs, i.e. fast but a bit too unstable for beginners. A better start should be Bob Smiths Easy Race (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=279) setups.
Note: the upcoming patch changes the physics model, so setups may have to be revised.
Other tips:
- When you start studying other people's hotlaps, don't take the WR. Instead, look at the ones that are 1-2 seconds faster than you, and see what they do different. After you've improved yourself to that point, take the next step.
- Use AnalyseForSpeed to compare your laps with others'.

Good luck with the lapping m8. Glad you're enjoying it. I'm sure you'll be within a couple of seconds within WRs soon. Don't let it get you down if you don't though. It takes a lot of time and effort to get really fast (so I'm told :) )

i think my main prob is ive been playing Gran turismo since day 1 and im a bit sloppy on there but still win and thats carried on to LFS and GTL and im gett'n blown away lol
i must say one thing i do like is the car im driving in game handles and feels alot like my 83 mustang did before i took the 4cyl out and i loved that car .... like it more now :)

Aah - a fellow GTer. I played Gran Turismo since version 1. Unlocked pretty much every car on every version.
LFS is a world apart though. It's much more of a SIM and because it is not designed to be used with a joypad there is a lot more variation of input that the player can make. Which is why it's so hard to get fast.
Keep at it m8. Once you start to get dialed in to the feedback LFS gives you it is incredibly rewarding.
