Ooo, I didn't know that was the run function. I could never find how to get run to pop up in the start menu in Windows 7. :smileypul

Is this a laptop? Or an old desktop PC ?

Laptops are usually fairly bad for gaming.

Click "next page"(near the bottom) and run the "test direct draw" tests
You should read "no problems found" in the dialog box.

an update of your SiS drivers and/or using dx9c (OS dependant) could help, but I'm not sure.

Good luck.

You should look for the UniVGA5 graphics driver, is it available on SiS website in Download Center. It cannot be linked directly, but finding it there is no big deal.

AoE doesn't work for you for the same reason as LFS - the lack of DirectDraw and Direct3D support. Proper driver for your graphics chip will most likely solve it...

ezza9000
10th March 2010, 15:41
I think there are some issues with the compatibility of aoe with vista too.

Well that seems to have worked!!! but for some reason its in some other language, any ideas how i change to english?

MadCatX
10th March 2010, 15:48
If "it" refers to LFS, then deleting cfg.txt in LFS folder will revert LFS to its default settings..

Yep, ok il try that, i did at some point copy some script into taht at an attemp to get it to work
