Why Can't I Connect To An [MG] Server?

Right, whenever i try to connect to an MG server (which now doesn;t show up on the server list!) it just loops (it says "Connecting To Host" and then just goes back to the connect screen, it makes no sense, and could be very annoying as i hope to join the [MG] team!

Since ive joined ive never had any trouble joining and ive not heard any other complaints. Maybe its you or the server. Bes thing to do which kaverl said he would do is speak to ollie. Ill ask him too.

ahhhhh, a re-install of lfs did not help! patch R didnt help either! wtf is wrong? i have done a system restore though, and although i cant see why that would matter, it might!

have you tried forwarding / allowing the port... 63402

hmmmm, ill try forwarding it now, but what should i call the rule name (on my router) and how do i allow a port on my PC? (i have AVG Firewall/Antivirus, and have the windows firewall off)

Keeping the firewall disabled is the best way to race smooth. When FW is on, it can block some packets/ports/protocols due to some weird reasons. I have Kerio WinRoute and I wasnt able to force it to let LFS connect..... No matter what ports i have closed/opened....:shrug:

rught, i went to germany and everything worked fine, i come back and dad has fiddled with the router, now it doesnt work, i restored it to default settings, but he then did it again! give me a few days and ill have a look...

let me elaborate, i came back to germany and the wi-fi network had a wep key (never had one before) i ask dad, he says he just said he turned wifi on and off (it would turn wep on tho, i checked!) so he's changed something, and ill have to find out why

what could i try on the router to fix it? (i believe the problems the router btw)
