V1 championship

Hello

I was wondering if the V1 Championship is still ongoing, i see they have servers up but no one is in them. I plan on doing 200+ practice laps but i don't want to do it for no reason. When will the season start? Any news?
This is very exciting to me.

It seems like its still ongoing, but since there is no activity i asked. Im still undecided if i should or not practicing alone is very lonley unless one of you guys want to join me tomorow.......:)

There are 5 or 6 V1 Championship servers up. But no one uses them :shrug: .

As far as I can remember, it is over. The website does not seem to be up to date. But maybe they are relaunching it this season. If so, you should have plenty of time, since they say that they follow the F1-Calendar, and so the first race should be when F1 starts into the 2010 season, which should be 12. March if I'm correct.

But to be sure, I suggest you write an email to the guys at V1 and ask them directly. Email can be found on the v1championship site..

I signed up in 08 because I heard of the V1 championship, and they have said they are starting it up again in a few months a few times and nothing has happened, on V1racer.com , on the message board it gives some info there, but I dont really know when this was. Theres always a chance that something will happen, but I highly doubt it.

I talked with Jeff from V1 he said they would announce more news in the middle of the F1 season so that means its on!:smileypul

I got 50 laps of practice in today, i beat my pb and got a pretty good feel for the car. my new pb is

1:15:2xxx if i remember correctly. Ill ask for a set.

We will be running this year. Unfortunately we got the run around from one of the new F1 teams last year so we missed the season. As it happens that turned out to be a good thing, the reasons for which will become apparent when we start up again, hopefully mid season. We may actually start racing a bit later than that but we will make an announcement by then.

Are you monitoring the servers currently? Im the only one :D Hopefully you'll watch the mpr's of me. I kinda am not too good as of now but this is my 4th day of lfs in 1 1/2 years :shrug:

It was the shadowing the F1 races that was the deal breaker for me, I watch the F1 with my Dad and so couldnt get back for LFS, and my priorities go something like: Racing; Watching F1; Sim Racing; Intimate Liasons; Food; Sleep...

Hi, i haven't seen any practice servers for v1 championship, am i missing something? do you have to enter a password or do something? I signed up to v1 website and registered to lfs obviously, and im almost ready to get on the v1 server after i improve my times a bit more, but cant find them on host list. :(

I think the championship is not running yet.

There are 5 servers like posted further up, to see them, select SS, 'no' for private servers, 'yes' for the rest. They will come up. However its pointless as no-one is on them, so you might aswell, go to the AA demo server.
