Hello all:

To resort the waitinglist and for us to see some new teams that have applied during the course of the season, we are sanctioning a second test round.

All waitinglist teams who wish to be classed on the waitinglist must attend.

Active teams are also allowed to participate, on a first-come, first-serve basis to fill any spots open after required teams are confirmed.

The following teams are currently on the waiting list, and must run the designated number listed here:

Race Details:

Date: 14 February 2010
Circuit: Westhill International Reversed (WE1R)
Qualifying: 30 Minute open-track qualifying starting from 18:15 UTC. Standard GTAL qualifying procedures, except only one driver permitted in server.
Race: 2 hour race, rolling start. Race Administration reserves the right to call an "artificial" caution for purposes of examining trial teams' behaviour under SC conditions.

Following the round, waitinglist teams will be sorted and any free spots on active roster will be filled as needed.

Former we assume is whatever you used before or put on your application. Confirmation thread will be open the week before the race.

FZ2 in the hands of Sirius could do mid-low 34s around WE1 (http://www.spdoracing.com/eventdb/session/7160/statistics), and reversed is half a second slower according to the WR. Best XR2 time (though with 10kg extra) was a low 35.

heh, the aliens weren't as scary as I thought.... mostly b/c they were either 1/2 a lap ahead or 1/2 a lap behind for most of the race...

The Karelian Service Batallion doesn't like weekends. So service runs very poorly on satur- and sundays. If there was a war the enemy would regain it's lost grounds on weekends because we'd all be at home playing scrabble :shrug:

Yeah I would just in case. :) GTAL usually gets drop outs at the last minute, so just do it incase.

This test race was particularly unfair to LLM.. Reasons;

First reason: LLM where top of waiting list, and a test race was announced.

Second reason: They didnt make the test race, and they where shoved to the rear of the waiting list. :shrug:

Not fair at all.

LLM did a lot better, but clearly were not quite there yet. I expect them to continue the rapid improvements for GTAL 2011 where I full expect they will be able to stake a solid claim for a spot. :thumb:

It has given LLM the opportunity to re-test themselves against the current GTAL entrants and show us, and them, where they lack and where they still have to go in order to get a place. They are certainly 100x closer than the test race, and I was quite sad BMX didnt race as his pace looked decent on the testing server. :thumb:
