I have a very big problem with LFS.. after some time (not always the same) game locks, sound locks too, and I have to restart my computer.. I really dont know what could cause this problem..
If there could be some setting of video or audio which could help..
and I have to say that when I ply CS this never happens..
my PC
Xp 2400+
512 mb ram
Gf Fx 5700 128mb
Hercules Digifire 7.1
dont you plz know what should I try to do?

Put LFS in windowed mode and run Speedfan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php) to watch your CPU temp while playing since ..
after some time (not always the same)
.. sounds like an overheating issue.

definately sounds like your system is overheating. I would suggest adding at least one case fan to draw the heat out of the computer case. Its a cheap solution and it might work.

hi kostihouse.
It may not be overheating.
lets look at what your problem is and then go through it one by one...
have you updated all of your driver? not just your video drivers but your chipset and such?
have you made sure your voltages dont dip below what they should be?
have you diabled auto restart on your computer?
I am assuming you are using windows XP sp2..
if you could, could you post your DXDIAG?
goto start then select run on the bottom right hand side of the menu
type DXDIAG
click "save all information" on the bottom.. then post it on here.
this is a full spec sheet on your computer. dont be alarmed it is very very long.
is there any other information you can provide us with?
does it do this with every game? or just this one. does it do it more when you have other things in the background?
post it and ill take a look at it for you.
