The couple of times I have tried to drift this year, it has been at "Driftwars".

Seemed like a good server. Good people. Great layouts.

Definitely 42D, Ive been to Falken a few times and it wasn't that great, was just another server.
Yet DriftWars was constantly updating with new layouts, was always kept very organised and respectful. Was always available and always just an all round fun server.
Also I believe Ales (Weed) deserves his own award, He had literally dedicated his time to DW and their players, hes one of the nicest guys on lfs, always there to help when needed and I honestly don't think I would be half as good if it wasn't for him. :thumb:

Actually, it was public 3/4s of the year, then we decided to make it private for the rest of the year, just to see how it goes.

What's there to lose? The general(ly utterly incompetent) public. What's to gain? Peace and quiet for the regulars. DriftWars is different, it's mass entertainment, making it private is almost certainly going to kill it.

Personally I've completely lost interest in it. Drifting for a score can be entertaining at times, but the experience is ruined by the neverending stream of incompetence raining down upon it. I don't regret coding the DriftWarrior though, learned a lot about python and the InSim protocol in the process.

Edit: Pls tell what stealed lyt you noticed on our server? Im gonna release lyts we used on 2009 soon and its over 70 lyts and trust me they are all done by me or morpha. We never used any lyt from other server. But scoped I know why you writed that, you&uknowwho are mad that we are nominated on top with Falken, trust me i was suprised too. I dont care much about this nomination (since most of our team got into racing) and I know at the end Falken will win, since they have way bigger comunity behind and its right thing that they win because they are much more dedicated to drifting then we are. To falken thumps up, even I voted for you, great organized drift team! And to Scoped pls stop with low insults, like stealing layouts, next time when you insult someone for stealing lyts pls have some proof.

What? I put in a vote for 42D simply because someone said Falken was private and therefor invalid for this poll. I don't even drift.

It's still somewhat public, as anyone can get the password from the LFSD website. They just made it like that recently, so its not like it has ALWAYS been private. :)

idk or care if this is a necro, but whoever's the owner for the Drift Wars server (not sure if it's 42D or not since that's not in the name), but i've been a drifter on that server for years. and i just got vote banned by noobs for trying to vote ban a server full of crashers. i'm not sure if the owner of the server checks this shit, but i need to get back on that server. idfc that the rules say not to post about being banned. that damn server is the only reason i even play this game anymore. i'm sure a lot of you remember Shikane Drifters. i'm >>Shik.D<<Fire. been around for 5 years. i'm just prayin this gets across so i can get unbanned.

Vote bans only last 12 hours, amirite?
I think about two out of every five times I go on there, it is full of AIDS and fail anyway.

Why do you need to go on there if it is full of noobs?

That server could def use an insim that enforces some rules.
