Just a question, how come annual events count as a "One Time Event"? I suppose I see the reasoning here, so that we don't have;

"Best One Time Event"
"Best Once a Year Event"
etc... make something up.

Anyways, as I was not here for any, nor heard about any during 2009, I will not be placing a vote as it would be an unfair opinion.

Well these awards are just for the one year... and each of these events only occured once throughout the course of the year.

It's because there's so much choice of NDR events that people can't decide ;)

K250 and K500 are both on the poll but ky1 is on the least favorite track poll?*This community is either really divided or really bipolar

Kyoto 500 baby!

It doesn't matter where an event takes place to make it a good/bad event. A lot of people dislike the oval, some for the wrong reasons and some for the correct ones. Overall, the point here isn't about ovals, but the fact that even on a terrible track an event can be a great time because of; hosting, admins, friendly / fun competition or many other things that don't depend on the track.

True, however, arguably the combo idea is a part of the overall package. If a combo is picked for an event and it's a horrible combo...then the event wouldn't really gather that much interest or be enjoyable.

If the MRT was picked for the K500. It can be the most well organized and controlled event in the history of LFS but it wouldn't even be remotely considered as "one of the best one-time events".

If people hate the oval that much (and based on the least favorite track poll, they do). Then I personally just find it amusing that both the K250 and K500 events ARE in this thread. Logic dictates that if a person would find oval racing boring regardless of the circumstance. Than the K250 and K500 would be "boring" and thus wouldn't be considered such a great event.

16h was fantastic. Great racing, great driving. Even as a backmarker in the event I was having a blast. Sure, professional admins helps a lot. But sometimes that really doesn't dictate whether there will be interest or it'll be fun to be in.

Also. I find it amusing that the K500 has higher votes when the K250 was much more fantastic imho :nod:
