Hello
LFS use standard like this for gear ratio:
3.5
2.4
1.5
1.25
1.10
...
but in iran usually i see this standard:
0.289
0.538
0.781
1.05
-------
whats this standard? how can i convert second one to first?
thanks

1 / 3.5 = 0.2857
1 / 2.4 = 0.4166
1 / 1.5 = 0.6666
etc
The first one (LFS's one) is the version I've always used in real life.

From looking at it, I think the formula would be <first format> = 1 / <last format>.

A gear ratio isn't just "3.5", it's "3.5 : 1".
In your case, they are "1: some lower number" rather than the more usual "some high number : 1".
Dammit, thought this would be more of a challenge. :(
