/unban all on CAD

Yep. i typed /unban all on CAD, so everyone is unbanned (except for the people who received a ban after 26 december).
So just to let everyone know, i even made a banning procedure and informed all admins. all bans will be reported from now on in the teamsection on the website, and therefor there will be no people whining about 50day bans etc.

I don't think that is a good sollution. It's better to let the ones banned who wants to be unbanned, giving a reson why to be unbanned. Sure, there were some unfair bans, but man.. some of the peopel were completely .. well.. let's just say special without going into too much details.

Why was the ban list not transferred over to the new forum? Surely unbanning people who constantly or repeatedly broke the rules is a pretty silly idea.

i agree with Takumi_LFS.. this is probably one of the worst servers of LFS. in the beginning i had a lot of fun there! No stress just fun doing some racing and what the server name says "destruction Derby" but in a less way like bumping... kind of rallycross style. then suddenly the one after an other got banned, guys that where racing pretty normal/clean like me for this kind of server. they just didnt do nothing that was forbidden. and after these guys it was my turn. 5 or 6 people after eachother.

i wouldn't care if some of the devs closed this server for good. or a better option ( because the server itselve is good in a way) new admins. and the ones that ar running/killing it now "delete"

then maybe i will show up again.. maybe!

I was saying that I was the one who put Takumi's layout on the server; nowhere did I say "I made the layout that Takumi is saying is his". Also, so what if I didn't make the majority of the layouts; I made a few that were really popular (Cutt Off on AS2 was one example of a very popular layout) so at least I contributed to the server.

Ehem. Coming from a person who not too long ago reacted in kind of the same way :D

But yeah, it's the way LFS's layout system is designed and even if there was some way to add meta information like the "author" name etc., people could still rip layouts and take the credits for them. You can't protect your work from being taken without your permission, but you can establish a reputation for your original ideas.

So the best way to protect your work is actually to publically release it in a manner that allows direct association with yourself, such as a forum post on lfsforum where your licence is tied to your forum name. That way if someone claims to have created a layout when it's really yours, you can prove it, provided you posted it in time.

Theres nothing you can do when someone steal your lyt, im not just saying this, it happened to me like five times that I went to some drift server, noticed they use some of my lyt a liltle edited, asked why they edit and use other ppl work and got baned. I was also pissed off, thats why I didnt post my lyts here on this forum. But now when I look back I feel like a noob for my reaction back then. The ppl who know you and your work will know it and respect it, for others you dont need to care tho. Teams who are that nooby too steal a layout , will fail at the end like cad.. So let them have it.:)
