FX5500 is a REALLY old card, dont think it has the power to make LFS look good tbh :S

Tho the best u could do is to try and pull LFS up to the highest res, and then tweak the settings in-game to make it look as good as possible.
Cause the gfx-card itself doesnt magically make it look any better :)
