We will be using most of the MoE rules:
- drivers join the server when the car u want to switch into is past the first sector
- driver that switched out of the car must leave the server imediatly
- all the teams must have skins with theire alocated number and the name of the drivers
- we will be using the names in this format nr - nick (please NO team tags, youre team name is writen on the car)
ex: 1 - Scoop
- you must have the car number and the names of the drivers clearly on the skin
- start will be 1 formation lap, with a pacecar, then start in double file
- we allow 2 or 3 drivers per team
- the qual is gona be 1 out lap, 1 fast lap and then u spectate (super pole style), only 1 team driver is gona do the qual but the driver that did the qual is not obliged to also do the race start.

In the future i'm going to organise a multi race season in the same format (9 GT1 cars and 8 GT2 cars) teams of 2-3 drivers, there will be arround 6-8 races, and race time will be aprox the same as sunday's race exept the qual sesions are gona be friday and saturday, the only diference is that it's gona be by invite not by first come first serve so keep an eye on the forum and when i post an official anouncement u can post youre interest and i'll select the teams that will race.

I have always wanted to see a multi-class event. If there was 10 fast-GTR cars on the track and 10 fwd-GTR cars on the track, it would be pretty neat. And Aston Historic would be the best choice for leaving lots of room (or any Aston config actually, since the track is quite wide).

Just to let you know, our second server, 1ST|Racing 2 is now running this combo for online practise.

Guys i want some info if it would be ok to make the race earlyer.
Plus we will not be using a tracker tool but if u disconect reconect quickly and continue racing, i will count all the laps of the teams that disconected and see where exactly they would have ended up, so press on hard during the entire race :thumb:

That went fast indeed and i got more atention then i ever expect, so now i would please like the ppl that are in the race to post theire skins so i have the high res ones for a future race report and pics :D, and for ppl like ITEK pls post here so u'll be in reserve in case some one drops out.

The password will be sent to the ppl that posted a team here and they must give the password the theire team mates, and pls read the all the rules carefully, they are not many but if we follow them corectly everything will go smooth.

After a couple of races at the Muroc servers tonight my first impression is that this is going to be quite a challenge for both car-classes.
"GT2" class is approx. 20 secs a lap slower than "GT1". And the lack of downforce of GT2 class means there's going to be complications in the fast corners. Overtaking will definately be the biggest and most difficult issue.

I know that overtaking is gona be hard but that's exactly what makes this race diferent, but if all use comon sense, and by that i mean gt1 cars only pass the gt2 cars on the straights (u have enough bhp to get by in a blast) or when gt2 gives them the inside line in a corner everything will be allright :thumb:

well, i think it will be better in the 3 hours race, with real drivers on (real means those who wanna finish the race without major accidents). On sprint races, like the 5 lappers the big gtr tried to pass at impossible places, like the uphill chicane before the 1st spilt... they you wanna pass you, doesn't matter how... don't think this behaviour will be on sunday :scratchch


btw: 2nd driver for T7R will be BBO, maybe there'll be a third driver too.

My team mate just took over for me, but instead of him starting in the pits he started half way around the track, a few corners before the second sector marker. :shrug: Very strange bug, I think we lost a place or two there.

I had an odd bug, teammate crashed, I took over, but the setup was all screwed, gearing was very low, suspension was very bouncy, not sure what happened there :shrug:

It's a well know bug Cropsy... pitbug, warping you to somewhere half way the track, one lap down...
Misko told me one day, that if you dont see any cars when you first connect, you should reconnect quickly and that will solve the problems.

Humm i would like to point out that the quali times are wrong....If you had of waited untill i finished my lap you would of gotten the right time :p I quali 4th place. See in my screenie. Great race everyone and congrats to cyber. Was a big test for us as we had little time to train for the XRR since we never really used it before and i found it was a handfull to start of with.

BTW, I think that in races like that should be very clear rules about overtaking slower class cars. Now it was bit random & I had few contacts with big GTRs when they were overtaking our little dSRC UFR...

Well I had one ugly situation with a little XF GTR. He made a mistake in the little eau-rouge and I was right behind him with my XRR. Now to avoid him, I had to drive wide in the eau-rouge and through the grass, leading me to spun off. For the rest I think most of the overtakings went smooth, even when now and then some guys could have let someone pass before a corner rather then blocking them through the corner. Let's put it that way: In my opinion from the 2 classes the GTR's have top priority when it comes to overtaking, cause a GTR looses a lot of time if it gets stuck behind the smaller XFR/UFR in a corner (1st corner speed is slower and 2nd you can't accelerate like you would normally at the exit). The smaller cars don't loose that much time if they leave space for the GTR's by running wide in a corner.

I disagree, just because the GT1 class is faster, it doesnt give them priority IMO.

The GT2 class were racing for places to, and are not going to move off their line just to let a GT1 class car through, of course, when I knew there was a GT1 car behind I was aware, and would make room wherever possible, but I wasnt going to jepperdise any time by moving off line.

I thought it went really well, the 2 class thing.

As a small gtr (XFR) driver I never expected GTRs to try overtaking in crazy places like the eau-rouge, and the last chicane before start-finish - that would be far too risky. Also I think it's wrong to give the GTRs top priority when overtaking. I prefer to look at it as cooperation; gtrs sacrifice a bit by going a bit wide in a corner, while GTRs loose some time by taking inside line. Simple.

I agree Aly. I was blocked a few times due to the little cars wanting to drive round the corners before i could overtake but the bigger named teams i had no problems with at all. I did have a little issue with the #1 car who almost pushed me onto the gravel but other than that i think it went great.

Well I didn't try to overtake this car in the eau-rouge section (well imo he could have let me pass just before this section without loosing any time), i wanted to overtake him on the straight after this section. But as he did a mistake in this section I had to avoid him, wasn't meant as a crazy overtaking maneuver. I think I have enough experience to know when I can overtake someone or when it's better to back off.

Exactly, trouble is, when people drive big cars they get a nice big penis extension, which sometimes means that people have the "BLUE FLAG, BLUE FLAG GET OUT OF THE WAY FASTER DRIVER COMING THROUGH" syndrome :D

Of course, deliberate blocking is bad, but we were all racing for places, and driving a bigger car does not automatically give you "oneupmanship"

Well it's not because the GTR's are so fast on the straights that the Gt2's can
only let them pass there. Of course to overlap someone both drivers must work together. And the majority of time this was no problem, but from time to time you could've been blocked by a slower car in corners where it would have been possible for that car to let you pass before the corner. I don't think that it changed something on the result but who likes to be stuck?

PS: It also has not necessarily to do with the 2 classes, this situation can also happen when there is only one car class on the track. Difference is that with 2 classes the bigger car loose more time behind someone.

Take my apology for lagging, I had an incident when lot faster XRR guy crashed into me after the last chicane, he probably didn't see me. Sorry again :(. It wasn't ment for me to drive anyway. I joined server unexpectedly after my teammates had some problems. I tried to stay in the race and after 3 or 4 times being disconnected I gave it up.
