Especially since I've taken the liberty of inviting My3id Gaming along who say they'll be there with gunz-a'blazing with some people who don't often get to do MoE/IGTC. :smileypul

I'm sure that if you politely ask them, they'll give you help with driving or setup tricks. They're here to give you something to chase after anyway. :P

I'm sure one of them will come along here soon with some infos or tips :P

Qualie 1 is on the 6th, confirmations will open up sometime next week (during the MoE week :P) or so.

FZR has the advantage of not having turbolag coming out of the two/three slow corners on the track (final hairpin, boothy chicane, turn 4 at the far side of the course), where the XRR will have to deal with that. Should be somewhat even though I'd expect.

We made our tyres last around 29 laps in the XRR, with starting times of mid to low 24's and mid to low 23's from the middle to the end of a stint.

29 laps is around 1hour,8min :)

So i guess we wont be doing the 1 stopper, and i doubt anyone will :P

It is worth a mention that in qualifying, if you touch any admin-placed pole at the boothy chicane or the final chicane, your lap will be invalidated. In the case of the final chicane, if you touch that pole it will ALSO invalidate the FOLLOWING lap (a la HLVC).

In the race, we will not be as strict, but if clipping/cutting gets too blatant or repetitive, we WILL penalize, first with a Cease&Desist warning, then a DT, then a SG, then a loss of a lap per further incident for the team if the behaviour persists. We will be more mean about this than MoE was. :thumb:

Regarding the race, well anything can happen. Doesn't take much for some nub to come off and drive back into traffic :D :(

For the FXR 23's should be top, maybe brushing 22s light. 1 stop looks to be out of the question, tyres (front) are barely driveable (understeer) after 1h.10min.

Hi.

Due to there's not much chance for us that we will drive in GTAL now, I just want to offer I will drive any car except FXR. I want to drive to get some personal results. I've got time around 2:22 mid with XR2, but can be better. I didn't really try much since setup edit. If you drive FZR, let me try with proper setup and we will see. In past I drove only FZR when it came to GTs. If any team is interested just PM me, thanks.

That is correct. I was right behind him and watched it even. He pitted too fast. He was in the pitlane, and he had turned in to the yellow squares, but he still had some speed when he shift'p'ed.

He didnt really gain much time on it. I bet he was in a hurry and hadnt time to wait for the counter :P

He was sign in since nearly one month before the GTAL started and now, after the 2nd!!!! Qualy were done he isnt allowed to race here? Only a shame to say this after the qualy and not when we send our mail. -.-

Reason: he is to fast?! He raced 1 race in MoE 2008 -.- (beginn)
But a T. Ostgaard or k.O. Keefe from F1RST and Core racing are not "to fast"? I wouldnt attack the Drivers in any way.
But i think this decision is a big fail.

Oh and BTW the rules allow for an O'Keefe or Hutchinson to race so long as they did a GTAL round 1 before an MoE round. In Seb's case he raced because we needed him to or we would pull out, in Ken's case he's probably finally got a bit of consistency to go with his undoubted speed, but in Maddin's case you only have to look at his history to note that he doesn't need GTAL at all. ;)

Yes, we did let this slip through the cracks, but then the fault is still not 100% solely on our shoulders.

The teams also have a responsibility to not assume a "Yes" repsonse and keep checking in if a response hasn't been recieved. It is also the teams job to take a step back and say "Hmm, they haven't replied yet, let me remind them with the email and to be safe, let's run someone we know who is cleared to race"

Fault is 50/50 in this case, but the penalty is there because the driver WAS used without permission, regardless of administration responding or not. If we have not responded in time, you should assume that there is no clearance.

The reason you were sent to the back was simple. You did not slow down when it was obvious there were cars all over the place going slowly, until you came to the back of car 20. You then braked causing 00 to go into the back of you causing you to go forward. You and 00 caused the incidents and along with 27 who didn't bother to slow down and 04 for pulling into the path of 27 were all sent to the back of the grid fairly and correctly for just what I can only describe as brain fade.

I had no were to go, coming out of that turn were I saw the dust and went slightly off. I kept throttle open to keep it on track and before I knew it there was car 04. In the end I got kicked at the back without having anything to do with the crash at all.

Just watched the original race start. Phew! What an adventure that was. There's two people in particular who I would have no hestitation in kicking out of the series straight away for the way they drove during that incident. Although, I like kicking stuff so maybe it's a bit of an overreaction, but either way, it was a pile of shite.

Actual race was interesting, though! The wind kept people on their toes and in the barriers.

Despite the car in fronts speed hitting there rear bumper and riding there back bumper is still not the way to drive. You know this, regardless if your faster at race pace, everyone is equal under SC and riding someones bumper is not driver etiquette.

Tracker shows wrong positions. Car 17 was in front of car 20 in the end.

As I mentioned at the end of the race, the tracker won't be correct because of the SC finish. It is not sorting cars on the same timestamp correctly.

You'll have to engage a brain cell to consult the spdoracing Event DB (http://www.spdoracing.com/eventdb/session/7667/results) (sorry that this is required :P) or the mpr (http://www.newdimensionracing.com/replays/GTAL2010Round2_RaceReplays.7z) to get a more accurate picture.

Later this week when the official results come out, the order will be correct.

In addition to the mpr results, car 15 would have finished in 12th place, in front of you, due to the fact Conedodgers were inadvertently given an extra lap when in fact they were still on the lead lap after their timeout; they have been given a final race time in the tracker to put them in their rightful position.

The tracker sorts on laps and timestamps and when laps are completed, however it doesn't sort by the order in which the laps were completed in the database, thats' another thing for me to sort :really:

I was on IRC and overheard the guys had no drivers and would have to retire, so I offered to drive. We got confirmation from the admins, then I quickly set up my wheel and jumped straight in to the race.

I had no idea what I had gotten myself in for as I nearly flew off the road on the first racing lap. :D I was cautious after that, gradually building up the pace before the SC came out and took us to the finish. I really enjoyed it, but I think we spent as much time under the SC as we did actually driving!

I was gonna overtake [SR], and Jack was on there too, making us three wide. I didnt know Jack was slowing down though, before I watched the stream :P
Yeah.. I accidentally cut after passing SR so decided to let him re-pass, then saw you on his bumper! Figured I had no option but to let you both through at the hairpin.

Such a close race ! Safety car at 1hours to go...it was a big sprint !

And such a lucky race for E-Team ! 3rd after the big one but need to restart 10th ^^ Then crash in Lap 1 but manage to be 6th at the end of 1st stint. Peron crashed the car as soon as he took over and pit again to fix damage. Then a wonderful work ! 10th at the end of his stint whereas he was 17th after his error ! But suddenly the left tyre decided to have a puncture when #12 decided to visit the beach of Kyoto :) So lucky !

No, just decided that my post came over a bit too much as "accusing" people, which is not my intention with the post.

Besides, I didn't went fast into the pack. I braked upfront and was on my way of getting through the carnage until I got hit by the FXR who bumped off on the rail or something. But it doesn't matter much.

Very proud of the SR GTAL boys, was hard luck with the Safety Car and then O'Keefe. Hard to believe when I saw Sebby Tan a few months ago at SO4 IGTC he couldn't keep any kind of car on the road for very long. :schwitz: Boothy too was excellent what ever he might say, and Sascha has a future in endurance racing too, just a pity he didn't get some time before the SC to settle into a rythmn and feel the wind but his restart from the first SC was nailed perfectly. :thumb:

The tracker results are accurate save for Conedodgers who should be back 1 or 2 places (behind the car that they were behind when waved through). Those near the front AFAIK don't have any penalties so their positions is basically what it says on the tracker...
