Hi all
A friend of mine has been given an old gameport wheel, it's a dexxa and he can't get it working on his PC, Logitech has no info on their site, Dexxa is outta business and he's running Win XP, anyone out there have the 98 drivers or info on how to get it happening, the poor guy can't play LFS! He's tried using a mouse and his times suck. :) even I can beat him....

Cheers ShannonN

You can gather some more info here (http://web.archive.org/web/20000818194745/www.dexxa.net/SteeringWheelInstall.htm).
As you can see, this has to be configured as a 2 axis joystick, an axis for the wheel and (I assume) the other one for combined pedals, so you'll have to configure LFS to use combined pedals too. Set it up as a normal gameport 4 button joystick in control panel, game peripherals (or the english equivalent, my XP speaks italian so the translation may not be correct). No drivers should be needed if you manage to find the generic one that works. I don't have any gameport joystick here to give you more help, but maybe with a bit of trial and error you'll eventually manage to install it. Good luck.

I HAVE THaT WHEEL!!!!! MENTAL
ANyway you configuire it as a "2 axis 4 button joystick" then when you go to settings calibrate it by full throttel and turning it right and then let go of that and press brake full and turn it left so i goes round in circles do that about 5 times, then the rest of the instalation is pretty straight forward!
Good luck
