Quick facts:

keep it calm
wait for your man in front to accelerate
do not overtake !!!
in case you spin, wait till the whole starter field passes through
keep your distance to your man in front
do not overtake !!!
keep in mind in corners there will be tailback/traffic jam
When GREEN FLAG is shown the pace car entered the pit and the pole setter sets the speed
pole setters: DON'T SLOW DOWN !!!
everyone: IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO OVERTAKE BEFORE YOU PASS THE START/FINISH LINE
if someone spin or has a big crash you can overtake

We will check all three replays and penalize early overtaking by -1 lap.

Replays:

First 3 are pretty much fail except a few drivers, last two are way better.

no
you can overtake when somebody is spining.
for the guy who has spin it is not allowed to get his position back.

It is standard in most series that if a car spins or has a falling off that they lose any/all spots in the queue.

Some advice from an experienced race director who has seen plenty of fails on SCs:

I. It's not started yet, the race. So don't rush it. Take yer time, leave a few car lengths and NEVER follow directly behind someone for a long period of time.
II. Be heads up of what's going on ahead. Keeping staggered will help you see what's happeing further upstream.
III. Don't rush to get away from the grid. WAIT until ALL CARS AHEAD of you start rolling before you even shift into 1st. People behind will be taking the cue off of you.
IV. Patience Patience Patience
V. DON'T BRAKE TEST OR DO ANY SUDDEN ACCELERATING OR DECELERATION! That is the major, #1 cause of ANY and ALL incidents under SC proceedings. Do everything under SC smoothly and gradually.
VI. If you spin it while trying to warm your tyres, tough shite, get back. if you need to practice tyre warming.

Most of all, folks, have fun and good luck with the race. I'll miss the start and the first several hours, but I may stop in to help on the stream.

Just a tip for the GT2 and NGT pole sitters : leave some space to the other class of cars in front of you. There's absolutely no point at staying on the last GT1/last GT2 car's bumper, and leaving, let's say, 300 or 400 meters will help everyone to get a clean start, as the most compact is the pack of car during the formation lap=the more chance to have mey-hem you'll have, because of fps drops and lag.

indeed. and remember... DONT PASS ANYONE BEFORE THE START-LINE! :P The pole-sitter decides the speed to the start-line. After that, its go go go :)

Actual time is :
Current UTC (or GMT/Zulu)-time used: Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 11:30 -> 13:30 CET
