Hello Racers !

With this posting, we now start the applications process for the 2010 GTAL Season.

The rules are pretty much finalized, only a couple minor adds or corrections left at this point. Restrictions are the only unconfirmed part, but that will be sorted in good time as well.

Restrictions currently stand at 20% for FZR, 23% for FXR, and 25% for XRR. These may change before season start, and as such, we will allow car selection change up until the first qualifying of the season. The rules will be updated to include regulations pertaining to car changing in the season. These will be similar to how MoE and IGTC handle such matters.

Now, to apply your team for a potential slot in the 2010 GTAL season, you must send an email containing the following information to newdimensionracingevents (at) gmail.com using the subject line "GTAL Application for <Team Name>"

Team Manager Name and LFSWorld Name
Team Vice-Manager Name and LFSWorld Name
Team Name
Team Car Selection (which may be listed as TBA)
Team Driver Name and LFSWorld Name, one line per driver. Indicate previous racing experience in LFS. There is no limit to how many drivers may be included in the application.

Once your application is submitted, we will transmit an "Application Recieved" email to you. We will then consider the application and make a decision on acceptance. All decisions and discussions will be kept internal until after the applications deadline has passed.

Deadline to submit applications is Saturday, October 3*, 2009, 23:59 UTC. Final decisions and acceptance status information will be sent out within 72 hours of this deadline.

Okay, a small kitten didn't die. It was instead a small lemur that jumped out of its natural habitat, went to the UK, and attacked JO53PHS and tried to get money off of him, but failed, so went back to plan again.

But now, each time from now on that someone doesn't use the specified subject line, another lemur will join in the attempt to burgle Ellis.

Also, if you wish to change yoru application at any time, simply send an email in reply to your original email informing us of the change.

We have received 16 applications so far.

I am extending the applications deadline to run for another week, going until Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 23:59 UTC. We were planning on having a test race early in October, but it will not be until later in October. We will have information on that in the next week or so. Since the test race won't be for a little while longer still, I see no harm in giving an extra week for applications.

Anyone who has applied before this posting will not receive an accepted/declined message before the originally planned date, those will come before the day is out on October 6th, 2009.

IMO, it was a bad idea to get the signs-up done via mail. A nice signs-up thread getting spammed at every driver change attract the average guy who will just be tempted to see what's going on there. Plus seeing the applications is often a proof that the series is healthy if there are "big" teams in. Of course the way it is done now looks much more serious, but still...

Oh by the way, if you applied before the previous deadline, you will have received a reply saying that we will inform you whether you are successful or not by the 30th September. With the lengthening of the deadline, this is obviously now not the case.

dont worry, with 22 good teams you have better racing than 27 with 5 more completly unexperienced teams;)

I think this is a good idea. Full grid is always better than 22 cars in race. Scoring points for the 2nd team it's fine for me too. :thumb:
I think that grid of 29 cars is enough.

If there will not be 29 teams signed up to season we could use this project of 2 cars from one team.

Nope it's in the rules that if you have driven in IGTC or MoE your qualified as a pro driver.

Amateur Level, that team may submit an appeal to New Dimension Racing for
consideration. New Dimension Racing will consider the appeal and decide

relevant recent (approximately 6 months) league experience, and relevant
statistics as found on LFS World.

They review each driver. If they feel the driver is way too good for GTAL, he wont be allowed. If they feel the driver isnt good enough for MoE/IGTC, he will be allowed.

S. Dienst (webber) & H. Arndt (DpNr3) were both signed up in iGTC last season but never drove a race, are they allowed to drive GTAL this season?

If you by "never drove a race" mean they "never drove in a race" the answer is yes. Although it isn't allowed to drive the length of "a race" in IGTC anyway.

#26 nfinity eSports Racing is under circumstances forced to withdraw itself from GTAL. With only two availlable racers (of which both are still very busy and unable to prepare decently), two other of our racers not availlable and the remaining racers are all being seen as "advanced racers" it is not possible for us to race on a decent level, hence why we decided to withdraw from GTAL to give a chance to other new endurance racers.

With only two availlable racers (of which both are still very busy and unable to prepare decently), two other of our racers not availlable and the remaining racers are all being seen as "advanced racers" it is not possible for us to race on a decent level, hence why we decided to withdraw from GTAL to give a chance to other new endurance racers.

We are sorry to hear this.

We are not going to move Last Lap Motorsports to the active list at this time. We are planning to do a test race during February to reorder the waiting list and see if teams are still prepared to race in GTAL. We are also going to consider at this point whether or not to allow teams to elect to apply to field a 2nd team car (roster pending). Stay tuned for news on this.

Regarding 2nd cars for active teams:

Active teams who wish to apply for a second car may do so. Send an application using a unique team name via the standard procedure.

Cars from second teams will be allowed into the testrace if the application is received by Thursday, 11 February 2010. Applications received after this will be placed at the end of the active waitinglist.

Teams that apply for second cars also need to understand that:

Unique teams (not with a sister car already in series) will be given precedence regardless of comparative application submission time
Sister cars will be placed behind all unique teams regardless of testrace or other measurement performace.

In a nutshell, you can apply a second car, but we'll always give priority to unique entrants no matter when the application is received.

1. Is it possible to change our team-name to "Team unified" before the last race? We've founded a new team because of some problems with snogard...

Well what are teams if they're not arbitrary made up groups of people? ;) Of course, pop off an e-mail and if they drivers are accepted you'll be stuck on the waiting list (which will probably be used for this race)

And @ AMB - if you can get a group togehter, I'm thinking there may be a slot for you...there are no more waiting list teams and I'm going to reckon there may be another team or two to miss this round
