i want to have the cars that use the sequential transmission using the shifter in sequential mode, but have the paddles used for the paddle car. in order for me to have the shifter be sequential i have to reprogram every time i want it to, because it is the same as first gear, second gear...is there any way to write a script, or whatever i would need, to have lfs reckognise the different shifter modes? please give clear step by step directions, as i am a noob

thankyou :thumb:

maybe...but i dont really understand what i am have to do, or if it is even the same thing as what i need  if i put my g25 in sequential mode, it doesnt reckognise it being any different from h-pattern mode.

It depends on which car you are driving, not the mode you have on your G25.

i know, but when i am driving a sequential car, it reckognises the sequential mode for being just shifting into and out of 1st and second gear

What exactly do you mean? You still have to change your gear mode on your hardware.

as in, when i turn the little knob on the shifter, after i push down on the shifter of course, in lfs it is like nothing hapened, and it is like shinfint in and out of 1st and second gear. i dont know if it is a script i need, or a setting, or if i just need to re-assign the control every time i want to use it

Reading isn't your strong point, is it? The scripts linked in the 2nd post will rebind your controls to the correct configuration depending on what car you leave the garage with. After that you just have to switch your shifter to the correct mode and that's it.

In case that's still too complicated for you, go to <LFS install folder>\data\script, open road.lfs, sequential.lfs and paddle.lfs with a text editor (notepad) and copy/paste the script code from the LFS Manual page to the corresponding *.lfs file. Save, close and you're done.

The script on LFSManual is run everytime you go out of garage with a car.
