Hey
I just wondered everytime I put something on the back bumper of a car when i'm making a skin it's not there when I play the game.
What's the problem?
Thanks

Browse to your skins folder in the LFS/data/ directory.

You will see all the skins that come with the game.

Every skin has to be named properly according to the cartype with a prefix in the front like so:

**Note: Do not name the "skinname" too long. (no more than 15 characters I believe)

XF GTi ------------ XFG_skinname.jpg
XR GT ------------ XRG_skinname.jpg
XR GT Turbo ------ XRT_skinname.jpg
RB4 GT ----------- RB4_skinname.jpg
FXO Turbo -------- FXO_skinname.jpg
LX4 -------------- LX4_skinname.jpg
LX6 -------------- LX6_skinname.jpg
MRT5 ------------ MRT_skinname.jpg

etc... make sure the skinfile has the right prefix, and it will show up in the game to select.

You might want to attach your skin here so we can see what might be wrong with it.

Key word here is "bumper", I suspect. It depends which car you're skinning. Some cars.. the UFR, for example, you can't actually skin the bumper itself. It's a separate part of the 3D model making up the car's form, and it's not an element that has part of the skin applied to it.

To skin that part of the car, you may find a texture in the DDS folder that you can edit (I don't know for sure) but if you have to get that granular, sadly nobody else will be able to see it.. only you.

Dunno, he is S1 licensed...

It is also possible he is trying to skin over the license plate. He could've explained it a bit better, but he hasn't replied since, so oh well

I'm here guys don't worry.
I'm skinning the bumper, I post something on it and it doesn't show up when I open it in the game. So are you saying, like the lights and windows and things that you can't skin over it.

No you cannot skin over that stuff. You can change the textures of those lights and stuff (what SamH said above), but don't bother.
