Nowdays Everybody has.
For the record Gil, as I found out myself, they are not searching for people to provide streaming service, but people to run it / commentate.
That means: @DWB & Burnsy: You'll be up for the job right?

if someone could do provide a stream too, that would be even better, so :D

And I'm sure Passo/Deko would be interested, as usual.

Depends on what I've got going on job-wise, too

I just a bit ago had an idea.
We have several people who are well capable of commentating, and streaming.
Could we get two or three streams, so we don't have to switch about as much ?
And it would mean that servers say, 1 and 2 get almost full coverage, and we have a 3rd provider switch between 3 and 4 or something like.
Just a thought. :scratchch
commandermas
16th July 2009, 10:50
the thought is not bad, so you could watch the stream from the server, on which your team is driving. But just find 3 groups that keep streaming for 16 hours each :D if you got three, tell me :D
DevilDare
16th July 2009, 14:15
Yeah that would be stella. Kind of disapointing last year only server 1 was streamed

All four servers were streamed last year - one server per hour. And the first two and last two hours were commentated (or was it the first and last four hours?).

Livestream is often very laggy, and the quality of picture and sound are sometimes just awful.:x But as I said, the chat is nice.:tilt:
burnsy1882
7th September 2009, 23:31
It's only been laggy for me when I didn't have the correct settins for broadcasting, otherwise sometimes I find that LS and multi have about the same quality. Plus, LS is free, some people can't afford to pay.
Mp3 Astra
7th September 2009, 23:33
MultiBC has far superior quality to that of Livesteam. But Livestream's 'casual viewer' friendliness is better with the stream always being synchronised so the chat is always relevant. It's also easier to admin and insert commercial breaks into Livestream.
But MultiBC's quality and customer service wins in my book. Although, yes, you do have to pay.

I was driving in the MMS Cup this year, which was broadcasted live by the46. IMO it wasn't the best. The commentators were good, but the interface they had is not so much. They are using a Macromedia/Adobe Flash system, so you get max 15 frames per second, which is quite bad.:Looking_a

Koa128
9th September 2009, 16:14
All I can say is that The46 broadcasted the TBO Challenge this year and the quality was much more better than just 15 FPS, never missed any action in race and always funny and clever comentators, even good interviews to some drivers :thumb:

If you would like to have a promo/ad video for your team aired during the broadcast, please PM me a link to its download. You have until this Friday night to PM those videos. I would also ask you to keep them under 1 minute, as small a filesize as possible, and as much as possible refrain from using copyrighted music (music you do not own the license to use).
Thanks!

It's almost confirmed, that our company will support the46 for the 16h broadcast.
For the support we got two commercial spots during the race, right before the start, and just after the finish.
I've uploaded the commercial to youtube, so you can see it even before the race:
