lfs disconnecting me from servers

hi,
I just got this problem yesturday that when im racing for about 4 min online all of the sudden it disconnects me or loses connection. Its not my internet because my msn does not signout. this problem gets me very bad because when im about to win or finish a race it kicks me ( lost connection ) I done nothing to the game or the computer but install the tweak but the tweak is not doing it. Any ideas?

does msn also use udp packets? I guess not

If it's any kind of network tweak, it's VERY likely that this is the problem.

Umm i did not say it was tweak. i just say thats all i installed. It bugs me that i cant play online :(



Ahhh not that kinda tweak LFS car tweak but i havet bin using it so i dont know :S

Is there a wireless link in your system? what other programs are you running (background or not) when playing LFS? .

I am on wireless but i get 2- 3 bars and lfs did work fine before. I only have msn on in the background and .... IE?? maybe IE messes the game up. Meh i have no idea whats going on msn does not sign out or anything.


i have 256 ram and a crappy 64mb mx 420 geforce card xp and wireless internet. Maybe when i installed SP2 ?? but i also had to turn off firewall b/c it gave me trouble...

umm no u dont... it disconnects even with out tweak. lfs did work fine with using tweak and with out now it just disconnects me. I havent tryed using tweak yet with this problem but it has nothing to do with it.

@onikin: please call the program LFStweak, not just tweak, this is confusing...
when talking about a program, you dont say "the program" either, do you?

OiKiN, I think most folks install a second instance of LFS to use LFSTweak with and use the original LFS install for playing online. Try that, instead of running online with the LFS that LFSTweak is installed into. That may help you out.

okay? but LFSTweak is not in the same folder. And it does not happen when im using LFSTweak it happens playing online normely.


Okay again, my problem is that when I play LFS online about 1-5 mins into the game I "Lost Connection". My internet does not turn off its only LFS.

What I said about the LFSTweak is that was the only thing I well not really installed but unziped and played abit on LFS. So far playing online with the LFSTweak its fine. I dont lag out, dont get kicked out from players. !!! Maybe its my name! I got this name from someone. I wanted to just change the name on the profile i was in but when i pasted it in i only got the team tag and the first letter of my name. So i had to make a New profile then pasted it in, It worked but, I wanted the "k" in my name big so i deleted my low case k but then i could not type anything in.. It was a really messed up name. Ill try playing with another name :D :D

I don't have lfsTweak (??) but i have the same problem, could you explain what fixed your setup?
