hm.. well i guess i could say that it probably was the best time to break it since i wasnt in the middle of a big race lol, but the large black spring in my pedals broke; i can use the brake pedal, but its so soft its like mush, and i can tap the thing and it will easily go down. Does anyone know .. if/how/where i can fix or buy .. or find.. a replacement spring?
until then.. no racing for me :x :(

Contact logitech, they'll most likely send you new pedals or maybe even a whole new wheel like they did for me.

Stick a squash ball behind the pedal and contact Logitech as mentioned.

as Gentlefoot (Hi James:) ) said above a squash ball would do the trick you may need to tape it in place to replace the spring feels more realistic than spring too .
If you wanted to get a new spring I would suggest a Model shop , the springs from a 1.6th scale RC cars shockers should fit with a little adjustment ,but if you take the old bits of spring you might find an exact match.

great.. so i emailed logitech yesterday, and got a response this morning
my warranty is void, and to fix it i have to replace the whole pedal set at a cost of nearly 50$
..so where exactly can you get this "squash ball"

It's just a standard raquet ball. Buy a set of 2 for 4 bucks at Walmart.

But if you use a squash ball (i have no experience with squas balls) would your brake go to the end, or do you have to recalibrate it so you can use a part of the braking pedal, because you'll never could brake to the end?

gotta recalibrate of course
which .. sucks if you play other games, but i dont so i dont worry about it, but if you do then you have to mess around with that program everyone says is 'amazing' but.. i still think it isnt that its only tricking the computer cant think of the name of it
as for me, i landed up putting really soft foam under the pedal and now that its broken in, it feels.. better lol
