Does anyone have any details on the crash?

I saw a clip of the car after the crash on a WRC program the other day and I want to know what happened. :)

P.S. I think it was Germany 2004.

EDIT: Just watched the vid, I'd hate to be the co-driver in that crash. What was it, a faulty rollcage or a really heavy hit on the roof?

I think it was a really heavy hit on the roof.

As you can see from onboard cam that the rollcage was okay, just bent.

Still, a good rollcage shouldn't bend unless the hit was really hard... :shrug:

It was. REALLY REALLY hard. They hit a concrete bunker basically and full chat. and then landed on another concrete object if my memory serves me correct.

quite a nasty crash... kinda reminds me of LFS damage :D must of been some impact to crush the top of the car like that... amazed they escaped unhurt....

the object petter hit, was - in german - a "panzerplatte" ... panzer = tank ... soo whatever it was, it was designed for tanks and not for racing cars. i would say the subaru looks pretty good :Looking_a

ohhh it was probably one of those concrete blocks to prevent tanks from advancing ... we have them all over in czech rep up north .... in the woods and by road sides......... usually in kinda pyramid shape...

my guess anyway!!

Wow, so the damage model of the muffler of the RB4 in LfS IS pretty realistic when I look at that pic above... :D
