Cant separate throttle and brake axes's on logitech Momo FF pedals

A freind of mine just got the Logitech Momo ForceFeedback steeringwheel/pedal setup but we cant get LFS to recognise the throttle and brake pedals as two different axes. At first I just told him to go into LFS and select saparate the the axes but it doesnt seem to do anything. LFS is still reading them both as X(or Y, I forget) axes.
I'm guessing this is something that should be tweaked in the "logitech wingman profile" software but after messing with it for about 20 minutes I realised that I have no idea what to do.

Being a common steering wheel I'd imagine we arent the first to have this problem but I couldnt find anything about it from searching...


So, what are we overlooking?

control panel => game controllers => select momo => properties => advanced (or something like that) => uncheck combined axes

I found it in settings rather then advanced. At least in XP.


strangly I discovered that my wheel has it set as combined.. yet mine works fine... :scratchch lol
