LFS Community:
iCON TV are proud to present the Second round of the iCON Touring Car Championship. The stars and cars of the series head to the tight, and tricky Fern Bay Gold Reversed Circuit, for 3x17 laps races. We'll start coverage around 16:30 UTC with the Reserve shootouts, to find out who will fill the 15 free grid spots. Racing will start around 18:00 UTC.
Commentary will be provided by yours truly, Jonathan "dekojester" Palmer, and joining me will be Michael "boothy" Booth and Michael "Mp3 Astra" Passingham. You'll be able to tune in at http://www.iconracing.co.uk/itcctv.htm or at http://www.mogulus.com/itcc to see all the action.
We hope you enjoy the coverage...a tough and challenging day lay ahead of the competitors in iTCC.

I'm excited about this one; the track is about 1cm wide and has some gigantic kerbs. It's going to be a thriller!

there used to be an irc channel for icon racing events, but it died a few days ago. Clearly me being the only one there won't keep it alive.

Yup, but visit http://www.iconracing.co.uk/itcctv.htm for on-demand video when it gets uploaded there. Probably later tonight or tomorrow.
I've lost my voice and have had a mild heart attack.

Yeah what Lukasz said ^
Everyone else crashed, I just kept on going.
I hope no-one saw me epic fail at the start of R3, put the power down out the last corner and had no grip :really:

Personnally, I don't think so. I'm sure that it was really hard for them to race on such a tight and dangerous track, but they did it fairly good, and even if we had some crashes we had also a lot of very tight passes. Really, standards are very good there. Don't forget that these guys are racing GT2s, not touring cars.

It's completely impossible to pass w/o being overly aggressive at FE.

The man speaks the truth.
You can overtake at T1, T2, onto the bridge and at the last corner. But none of them without being hellishly aggressive.

First time watching this races and have to say that this one was awesome! it was round2 what i watched if i remember right.. but very tight race all the time and good commentary team :thumb: makes me wanna race in league someday when i might actually keep up with the other drivers and got time for it :scratchch

I agree to a point, but some people tried it at the wrong time and wrong place, which equals bad crappy driving in my book. Aggressive overtaking is fine, as long as you don't push the guy into the wall, which happened to me...

I'm all for aggressive driving; just not some of the idiocy we saw today where some people went nuts.
EDIT: 2000th Post... Dang!

I hope you all enjoyed the races and the broadcast. Congrats to Joe for his great work doing the broadcast and get it online. Also congrats and a "BIG THANK YOU" to the commentator team .
One day we will need a doctor, cause one of them got a heart attack
Thanks also for watching and i hope to see you at Blackwood GP.
Best regards

I better watch R3 then :D
Anyway, for those of you who are wondering why so much schermozzle (?) is happening while trying to overtake without any hope of succeeding, I'd like to remind that this is an extremely tightand competitive field - I don't know what the time difference between fellas in quali was here, but in WE it was the first 20 inside 1 second. So when everyone is going roughly at the same speed very close to each other and the slightest mistake will cost you many places you're bound to have attempts like that. Just how it is.
Anyways, will try and make it to Blackwood. loads of time to practise now :tilt:

First 22 were on the same second in quali IIRC... And I think many others didn't get quicker because of traffic only.
