Ok here it is, sign-ups are opening. Only the top 24 will be allowed at the event. However where as this is the third event, the championship points will take priority for the first 48 hours.

You must arrive to the server BY 19:00utc. There is no room for being late.
The event will not immediately start at 19:00utc, instead there will be a period where reserves are brought in to fill the empty spots.

All reserves are to meet up in the LFS Meeting Room. (Multiplayer -> Display Hosts -> Meeting Room)
As people are needed, the SRS Admin will call up the reserves until the server is filled.
If a reserve driver is not in the meeting room at the time, the next on the list will be called.
*There will be no waiting around for people to join the server or meeting room*

Hello guys. As Fern Bay is always problematic when it comes to cutting, I'd like to ask those who weren't on last season's MRT@FE1 to take a look at the penalties handed on that event (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=876083#post876083).

I mean the ones handed because of cutting. There were a few and on that post there are pictures telling why they were considered a cut - so everyone knows what to expect on day 31st.

We could always put some tyres or such, but they are dangerous and as we have a limited number of races and lots of spectators, it's not that hard to check all laps.

Just a quick clarification, if we are pushed into cutting because we didn't have any space and we let the other one by if we gain an advantage, do we still get a penalty?

No. You'll be penalized if you gain an unfair advantage. In all situations you must give the position back if you didn't won it fairly.

If you happen to cut because there was no room or because you had a bad T1 exit and missed the T2 line, you must lift the throttle to make sure you won't gain anything from it.

If you cut just because you want, flat-out or not, we might give you a penalty just because we want. :D In other words, don't cut! It's bad for the sport and for you - people will point and laugh at you later while watching the broadcast - and in most situations you can avoid it just by being fair and using common sense.

Or, when I feel like doing it, which will probably be sometime today/tonight when the 48 hours closes, more or less when I get to it. Been a bit busy at the moment, and renaming the replays is taking priority over this.

Remember to practice standing starts and post those times... You only get to do 1 flying lap in the entire event, and that is in qualifying, sure still very important, but there will be many more chances to be doing laps from a standing start...

I also wanted to let everyone know that the cut detection layout is being used on the [SR]GTWERX.net server, so going there will show you. Touch the pole and your considered cutting. We will only be reviewing cuts that are noticed and brought to our attention within a few hours of the event - as we do not have the time to review each race. However, with the pole added it should be relatively easy for 10 pairs of eyes to see when it is bumped.

It may benefit everyone to know what will be considered cutting throughout: Warmup, Qualifying, and Racing.

I think Mogulus killed it. Nobody can access, not even I can access it. I'll leave it there forever, just in case it decides to work, but it looks unlikely.

Results will take a little longer than average this time around because de Souza does not have access to the internet.

Also, I have all the replays from all three events renamed and will be made available on the website as soon as we get the time to add them and organize that stuff.

For those wondering, Jason Lovett did not get a penalty for cutting, he did hit the pole but he lifted while doing so, and lifted for a bit while traveling up the hill.

Stein Andre Skavdal did however receive a 10pt penalty for talking during the admin speech when we asked everyone not to speak.

In the future these admin speeches will be handled by the system to give automatic penalties, and keeping everyone spectated. I have a feeling there were a few people out on track driving around that didn't listen to my speech all that well and it did irratate me a bit that I couldn't get peoples attention after asking for it...
