Intro
Baltic Cup 2009 is a league that will give a opportunity for Baltic racers to compete with eachother. There will be 5 rounds with 5 different combos. Maximum amount of drivers will be 30 – that means 10 drivers from each community.
Each community must organize qualification round themselves and TOP 10 will get to race round. Start grid will be combined using qualification times from every communities qual round.
There will be no registration, participating in qualification round is the same as sign-up.

Rules

Participating
In LFS Baltic Cup 2009 can participate every LFS racer who is / lives in Baltic countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia). To participate in Baltic Cup 2009 You must get in TOP 10 of the local qualification round which is organized by Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian community separately.

Name
For the race name of the racer should be in this order : County code (EE/LV/LT) - Name.Surname initial

Country code must be blue for EE , red for LV and green for LT, "-" and rest of the name in white.

General
1.Any kind of blocking or reckless driving is prohibited.
2.In each race must be done 1 mandatory pit stop.
3.Pitting in 1st lap is prohibited.
4.Blocking PIT entry or exit is disallowed.
5.Cutting is disallowed.
6.Talking during the race is disallowed. If something happens, You park You're car In the side of the road safely or do a SHIFT+P and exit the server.
7.Layout will be used if needed.

8. You must race with same car as You drove in qualification !

Penalties will be given after the race. Penalties will depend on how serious are infractions.

I think the LFS Estonia server is going to have that combo soon, if you can see it on there you can enter it. :)

Pioneer - It's with the LFS Estonia by Gaming.ee obviously if it says there. :D As I understood then Gaming.ee hosts a server for them...but it's not that important, you would eventually still find out the server name even if you weren't sure.

Do you even know what qualification is? :D Because, as I see it, you've been having a race for 15 laps, and just taken the results from the race. :shrug:

But instead, you were supposed to have 1hour of qualification. I guess you are new to LFS.


And as I see, you haven't even told the date for your qualification, and now you are just giving the results?

Actually yes, it's a race so i can't take this in consideration. Cause race is not the same with qualification.

Second aspect of this is that rules are saying that every community does qualification on they're own, but still, there is specified that it must be qualification.

So i suggest You do proper 30 min / 1 h quaification and provide me replay too. It would be good also to notify about qualification next time.

Conclusion

Idea of the race was good, but the race and qual itself was terrible. I got very ... very many complaints about blocking. I hope that all drivers who will pass thru qual into main race wont do any stupid things (blocking, ramming etc.)

I watched the DeadLine teams race replay and I am very unhappy with the players D.Tšubenko from Estonia racing, he didn't obey any rules, he rammed, blocked and did the same to other players. I think the organizators of the Baltic Cup should watch the replay and keep an eye on this guy.

Remarks

First of all i want to say, that i was very dissapointed, that many of You guys didn't read the rules. Everyone was asking, is pit mandatory and how many laps will there be.

I'm insisting that for 2nd round all of You would read the rules and if there is any questions - ask them.

Second thing is chatting during race. I won't be giving any penaltyes this time, because there were too many infractions. Finding and writing report about all infractions would be too much to do and not rational.

Next round there will be extra admin(s) and for any kind of chat will be given a stop-n-go penalty ! That means even ":)" or "Sorry" will bring You penalty.

For starters that's it. Thank You to all for nice racing, thank You to Latvian and Lithuanian colleegs who were helping me organizing 1st race. Thank You to Egon and Kristjan.J who also helped me ;) !

Sorry for that...but my internet connection was fixed, I just lagged in one place I think. And I think you were the only one I hit. I don't remember hitting anyone else. So sry for that.
And I checked the replay, the Lithuanian guy who was behind you started braking too late, and he crashed into me, and only then came the lag because of the crash, and then it hit you. Can I see the crash from your replay, because in my replay I don't see my lags, and it's hard to understand what happened.

Anyway, finished 7th place, but could of easily done better, if not for Egon in the 2nd lap. My and his car got stuck together, and I span him. I thought it was my fault, so I was waiting and gave back him my place. I lost 11sec because of waiting and then he spectated. Sorry for that...but my internet connection was fixed, I just lagged in one place I think. And I think you were the only one I hit. I don't remember hitting anyone else. So sry for that.
And I checked the replay, the Lithuanian guy who was behind you started braking too late, and he crashed into me, and only then came the lag because of the crash, and then it hit you. Can I see the crash from your replay, because in my replay I don't see my lags, and it's hard to understand what happened.

Look at lap 3 where you go on grass and you recover from there and I'm trying to pass you before last turn or somewhere there and then I just fly on grass myself.

Yeah, I already wanted to say that yesterday, when many were complaining about the chatting. But I forgot, and now I agree and disagree with it...agree, because it isn't really that hard to block the messages, but disagree, because if some organizers are going to announce or say something during the race, then nobody will hear it. But usually they don't have anything to say during the race, so I don't really understand why not just block messages. :D

But it's fine for me. If organizers say its best not to chat, then it is that way. I'll try to figure out something, so I don't press the sorry button. :D

Actually 3rd thing what i wanted to mention that blocking messages is disallowed !

Reason for this is that if admin has to say something or announce penalty for some racer, he doesn't see the message. Or say for example that someone should let faster pass etc.

Baltic Cup first race went perfectly! The battle between me Rolands.S from 4 Stroke Racing Team and Hendrik.P from F1RST racing team was all race. After some time I did my planned strategy. Overtook him and won the race. I had no crashes or mistakes at all, the racing was clear and fair. I will remember that long, clean drafting behind the Hendrik.P
All race I was thinking about those dangerous corners, because one mistake and there was possibility to roll over and ruin that race. Pit stop strategy was planned very good and i didn't lost my time in pits what gave me a good distance difference between me and my opponent Hendrik P.

Latvian and Lithuanian communties, discuss qual. date and inform me when You have decided. Our qual will be most likely 18-19 or 21-22.

As Kirill stated that no penalties will be given for this race as it was mostly like a test-race, sorry for that really. Next race it will be more strict. :shrug:

Yes, i took it more as a test race. There was too many infractions in this race, including talking during the race, cutting pit lines etc ... if we give 1 penalty, then we should give penalties to all. That means we need to recheck whole replay and every driver separatly. I think that You realize how much time it would take.

Next race there will be admin and the rules will be more strict.

Well, all your questions are answered already. If you wouldn't be that lazy, and look in the first post, then you would know the answers for half of your questions already. :D

But anyway, about your qualification you will find out in the forum, here in Baltic Cup section. It will be posted in every rounds qualification topic. It will be posted there, when Lithuania will tell the date and time.

Yes, you have to be in TOP10 qualification to get to the race.

Next race in 8th of March, and we are using TBO (XRT+RB4+FXO). Look at the first post and you will see the track also.

About the qualification i'll add this thing, that it depends when will Lithuanian Community organize the qual. I haven't got any information from LT or LV Community about qual dates and times, so You just have to keep an eye on the thread.

I have a little question. I don't get the system of the qualification rounds. After the first qualifications for round one there were 30 top Baltic racers. And now in the second qualification anyone can come again? I thought the whole 30 people which made it through the first qualification will be the only competitors. Now anyone new can come along here and take someone's place, or what? :smileypul

Yes, anyone can come if I understood it correctly. Otherwise there would be no fun in this cup anymore. Other people won't get their chance + if only 30 people would be allowed from the first qualification, then someone wouldn't probably come, and then there would be less racers on the grid. And not everyone who can drive good with XFG can drive good with TBO or NGT etc., so then someone else can get chance to get in. :nod:

That's exactly like andRo. explained. There is no point doing one qual and since that every round are the same drivers. Some are good @ STD , some @ SS etc.

This way we can find good drivers from every community for each car class.

1. If Kirill.D and maybe some other Estonian admins get to see the times and cars used, then everyone should see them.
2. You did it differently in first round, so you shouldn't change things now.
3. It's not our fault you chose your qualification before us.
4. Estonian admins who saw the times, can tell the other Estonians, so we also want to see them. You don't have to hide anything from us...this is 3 country cup, not 1.
5. Kirill already said he is going to post them, and then after few minutes he says he won't. Then what are you going to do? After another few minutes you are going to say something else...
6. Everyone should decide how it should be because it's 3 country cup, not Lithuanian and Estonian. :)

That's my point of view, but you think yourself what's better...just don't change things after there already been 1 round. You should think before you act...

Same with the restriction, then you should of just changed it, cause I wanted to race with XRT, but you didn't because it's too late, then don't change anything here. :)

I will put it simple : i have 38.5 celsius fever, massive headache, i'm not in a shape to do results atm.

Don't worry about the times or used cars ... other 2 admins didn't even remembered what was the fastest time, and from that round i will be posting results when ALL quals have been made. My apologies to Lithuanians Mantas.N and Mantvydas.R, they where nasty, and drivethru was deserved, but nothing more as I stated before.

from my point of view while racing it looked like nasty team play, to not let anyone pass them, but in replay it didn't look as nasty, and could be just a coincidence.

In first turn Mantas.B closed doors, which caused me to brake, and loose a lot. I was at his side, but I guess not enough to state a formal protest

Dmitri.T lap 5 - again nasty, but it didnt look like he did it intentionaly

It was a frustrating race, it's so hard to pass...but anyway, I am happy to finish, unfortunately I got a puncture in left/rear tire 1 lap before finish and lost some 2-3 places.

Interesting race for me :D, 10 minutes after start one girl called me ... i couldn hang up , so i switched gearbox to automatic and cruised for 20 minutes driving with one hand :D.

Eventually when i turned into pits, i got a bit wide and crashed to barrier, flew couple of meters up ahead and landed on the roof :(.

I must admit, it was frustrating race indeed.

Started 1st. I was leader 28 laps from all 39. Tyre condition was good, except rear left - tyre temperature was jumping all the time, some tyre places was wearing off. I was so shocked when my rear left tyre just blew up at 28 lap, I didn't understood that till next right corner when my back started to slide away. I never thought that it is possible to happen with such a good tyre condition. I'm shocked. After that lost my positions to 4th, but finished in 3rd. Also that penalty for a one '':@'' smiley of my shock.
Freakin', unstable tyre temperature did the bad thing, if not that tyre, I would not lost my place. :(

Unlucky tyre in attachment at 28th lap corner. :shrug:

The rule for smile's are to strictly. I was in fith position , and there was last laps of race, when i get drivethrought penalty.It's like habit to press F1 in lfs... :D I think for first smile/word should be just an warning... :shrug: :)

Ehh...I accidentally deleted my Ethernet drivers from the computer, so I didn't have connection to Internet. That's why I didn't come yesterday, but I only managed to install them back today.

Anyway, where are the total results together? The points etc.? At least I don't see them, but maybe I'm blind. If you could make the thread with total points etc. that would be nice. :nod:

Hi, small changes...from now on the server name will be "DeadLine.lt", since we had few problems with the servers, and we had to get a new server. So Kirill, if you could also change it in the first post, that would be nice. The passwords will be the same and the rest stays the same. And don't forget Lithuanians, you have qualification on Sunday at 20:00-21:00. :thumb:

Because i'm selling my PC i wont be able to organize BC 2009 inner-LFS , so from now on MuderGO[LT], Pioneer and andRo. will be doing main things.

I will be managing stuff here, in forums.

Also all races will be held @ Deadline.lt server now.

Because of the GTAL, BC 2009 Round 3. will be moved for 1 week, 12. april 2009.

Well, I'll talk to Kirill.D. He changed the date, because he thought some Lithuanians are racing in GTAL, and so they can go there, and then Baltic Cup later, but then Modestas.R told me that none of the Lithuanians that came to qualification race in GTAL, so I don't know.

BTW, if the race is next week, I won't be able to come, and I want to, because I also missed the previous race. I'm going to "holiday" for 1 week, and I won't be home. :shrug:
