But yeah, for me, drift = XRT.

I don't think any car in LFS is really suited for Arabic drifting. But then... I'm no expert at all. Anyway, your choice would be limited to XFG, XRG or FBM :tilt:

Youtube search results (http://uk.youtube.com/results?search_query=arabic+drift&search_type=&aq=f).

So, arabic drift is basically drift... on Arabia...:really:

All you have to do is wear a arab tunica while drifting!

Smurfen
14th January 2009, 14:37
you call that drifting, looks more like a guy with no control and a bit of luck :schwitz:

Stew2000

It's not actually drifting. it's losing control and looking like a prat.

They get credit for extremely dangerous and stupid driving?

Arabic drifting is for suicidal morons, like arabs. It's concept is basically to drive idiotically and out of control in straight road where other idiots are standing by the road and waiting to get hit by the car what is controlled or not that much controlled by an idiot. Oh and usually the car is filled with idiotic passengers too.

You get points by how many idiots you bowl down during crashing the car.

Most of the time, it takes place on either deserted roads or car-parks, or roads with very little traffic. These people have no place else to do it. Agreed, sometimes certain groups do it on popular highways, but then I'm sure you wouldn't say the same about a European driver, or an American one.

Uh.. well it seems like you want to ramble on with your stereotypes, so please carry on. Bystanders probably know the risks of watching so close to the action, and they don't care. As do WRC fans, who stand mere meters from cars jumping 10ft into the air at 100mph.

I have judged arab drifting from tons of videos I've seen, maybe some of them do it safely but all I've seen have been suicidal morons.

I dunno about other countries but at least in Finland nowadays during rally event spectators are in pretty safe places.

Flailing a car about is not drifting. It's being a stupid tit.

In any case, Arab "drifting" can only be done in a front wheel drive car, so your options are immediately limited tot he XFG, XFR and FXO. AFAIK Arab drifting is generally done in cars like Carollas and so-one, so the FXO is as close as you're going to get.

... But why would you want to? It's just moronic. At least real drifting takes skill (while still being pointless imho).

They are not drifting. It looks like they had an puncture on all four the tyres and trying to controll and recover the car.

++ 1000.

between this and the whole too-fast-too-furious thing, it's no wonder insurance prices are so high for everyone...

it may look cool and stuff, and sound fun to round up your friends and do donuts on the highway, but i'll sit here and play video games as you crash your car into a pillar and crush some old woman. :(

Why arab drift in a RWD XRT when arab drifting is when you "drift" (powerslide) in an FWD? ....
Do you (thread maker) even know what arab drifting is?

at least professional drifters do it in a controlled location, and not some random arab highway.

You kiddies... he was not asking which opinion you have on it. So cut the discussion about it being dangerous or stupid.

Like others stated right, "arab drifting" is mostly done in FWD cars. The Thread starter is limited to Demo content, so his only choice can be the XF GTi.

Summerising: This thread is useless.

The Fast And The Furious, Arabian Slide.

"Automotive idiocy from start to finish." Nuts Magazine.

"Men in dresses driving badly." The Sun.

"Bless these arabian idiots, you almost have to laugh." FHM.

"It's Mildly Kretinous." Alan Partridge.

It's related to arab drifting, so it's called a spin-off. These are on the relevant topic and those who don't wish to take part in the spin-off discussion or read it are advised to read the infomation/posts relevant to the topic on hand.

You had to make the point while showing your a racist. I'm an Arab. I guess if the moron who was drifting was a Finn (and there are alot of Finns drifting on public roads) you would not have called all Finns suicidal morons.

FTR this thread is unlikely to get locked, only your posts (and mine relating to it) removed, or indeed the thread being locked because of you.

UMM WHAT?!

They are not in control and they do crash often. This is what happens when people have enough money to buy the law in their area. These people can spit on the police over there.

Disgusting... That is the only way to describe those videos.
