Thats probably the crappest attempt at faking the Scirocco in game I've ever seen. You can even see the green reflection from the green floor you used in the viewer trying to make it look like grass.

The shadow around the back is also crap.

See thats a decent photoshop, after looking at it for about 5 seconds I couldn't see any major flaws, unlike the one in the first post, which looks like something a 10 year old could do with the magic wand tool.

I think it's selected users who are both very mature and trustworthy, but who have been onboard the LFS project for quite a while, or/and who contribute in other ways.

Either way, there's been an influx of idiotic behaviour (imo) on these boards tonight, there has been some 4 or 5 threads regarding the Scirocco, LFS progress, or something else LFS progress related... at least a couple of them started by regular LFS Forum visitors...

S14 is right. There is a lot of impatience around today, especially about the scirocco. It is early 2009 and many people are on tinterhooks about the new car, i know i cannot wait until its out, but to be fair, the devs have released a lot of test patches in recent months, which i can only guess that are additions that are necessary for the integration of the VWS.

well ... it needs to be perfect before release because it is a new car that exists in real life and it is probably the best thing that happend to LFS since i play ( demo from 2003 till june 08 ).... so it is worth waiting

Agreed, but and those who do know, and are interested in the release (and LFS in general) would have surely read both the announcement on these forums, and the surrounding posts in that thread, and the statement that we were given on lfs.net?

We've been given infomation as to what's happening, and thanks to the behaviour of a select few (you know who you are..), we are highly unlikely to get any infomation in the future regarding any updates.

Heh, we can keep hoping. But really, people need to realise that :

A) The Dev's won't be rushed, and..
B) Nagging won't get it done any quicker, and in actual fact may even slow down progress.

I'd say more than 90% (maybe even 100%) of betatesters have been around since the very beginning in 2002 when the community still was very small.

The word "trustworthy" probably doesn't apply to a certain now apparently spanish guy, though. :D

You really need to consider the consequences of your actions. Some people really didn't like the Scirocco delay, some people are really beginning to get impatient. I know it may be a joke but don't expect everyone to think it is one or think it is funny.

I really fell for the last one! LOL :D
I opened both pages in another tab, and kept browsing other websites without looking at these, then I saw the first image and thought: "hm that's a great photoshopped picture", but didn't see the other one.. after some time closing other tabs that one of the lfs website appeared on the screen, and I was like " :eye-poppi ", then I read the text but didn't get it even after reading it because I was still chocked with the scirocco release, I scrolled up the page again and looked at the car picture, didn't look at anything else and then scrolled down and tried clicking in the link... that's when I noticed it was just a picture :tilt: /facepalm
How could I fall for it so easily? The text doesn't match, there's "NOOB!" written in the news, the last post is from Jan 4th (old, and the same as the "postponed" one), part of the text (current version, racers online) is messed up, that account isn't mine and the borders are white! And I still fell for it! lol! :D
I think I wouldn't fell for it if I had seen this picture from the beginning instead of browsing other websites...

The dev team are pefectionists, they won't release it before they really mean it's DONE, and no further coding and such are needed.

You might be able to find this information in other posts to prove me wrong:

But, we don't know exactly how long they took to create the FBM in comparison to how long we were preview to the information. This is before my time here with LFS.

We don't know how long they were working on the Scirocco before we were preview that either. We found out through sources outside the dev team. They only confirmed the rumor as a respect to community. Proving they probably have never lied to us in the past either. Also, the limited setups would defiantly slow things down.

Perfectionists. Yes they are. This will make Mrwei a happier Happy Boy when it's all done and on the LFS roster of cars.
